Fatima's Halal

"This was one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants in Astoria until the building was torn down. I randomly found they have a new location and am happy to say the least. The new store is very clean and looks good. Staff was pleasant as I remember them being. The General tso chicken is still my favorite. I'm sad I didn't realize they had a new location sooner."

"3.5 Star restaurant with average quality food mainly caters to TAKE-OUT Customers the main reason we ate was its certified Halal Chinese in the NYC area. Pros: Halal Certified, Clean Food, Average Quality, No Pork Cons: No Parking close by, Only takes CASH $ major inconvenience, No dine-in seating very messy, Food only served in plastic disposable plates not suited for dine in setup/customers, Meats quantities small in pictures you see Large size orders Best dish was Orange chicken, rest was all average Beef chili as seen was just chilies."

"Been going here from the Astoria days, glad to see them back on the map and happier yet to go eat. Been here on three time within two weeks or so and saw them super busy at all different times of the day, especially evenings. Anyways, the food does seem a little different from the Astoria days and not in the best way, still good but not Astoria greatness. The place is much smaller and there is a restroom on site, parking is easier than Astoria ;). Almost forgot to say, the portion sizes are smaller and the prices are adjusted with the current inflation."

"I know many people will say Fatima is the best halaal Chinese restaurant but I think the quality is not same as the first one. It was dropped significantly. I was super excited as the other OG Fatima lovers when found out the opening of this place after almost 2years. But it did not match up to my expectations. We took the Szechuan beef and vegetable mixed chicken. The serving portion is still big but the protein proportion has significantly decreased. I felt the beef was full of onions and bell peppers rather than beef. For chicken I did not like the taste that much. It kind of felt blend to me. We also took the beef steamed momos, which was average and hot wings which was a little above average. I know it is super busy so maintaining the taste can be hard at times but I would really love if the restaurant could work on that"
