"Unfortunately I was late to my 9:30a.m. appointment because of a key work meeting that ran over + traffic + a delay getting into the parking lot because a bus broke down in front of the entrance and held up traffic. I raced to get there thinking there would be a 15 minute grace period (industry standard) and made it at 9:42. By the time they freed up to check me in it was 9:45 and the person at the front desk said they had to reschedule because I was 15 minutes late and they have a 10 minute grace period. She did text someone to see if they would still see me but they replied no. My time is just as valuable to me as it is my doctor and but they need to be a little more flexible on the grace period. It took a lot to modify my schedule to make this appointment without any consideration from their staff about what attributed to my tardiness (things out of my control). As it stands now, I've waited several weeks to get in to see Dr. Francis to assist in diagnosing what may be causing my allergic symptoms (closing throat, severe breakouts on hands, feet etc.)... I was absolutely looking forward to this appointment and now I'm back to square one. Dr. Francis, please re-visit your grace-period policy and consider extending to 15 minutes and consider adjusting to the industry standard. I really, really, really needed to see you today and now I'm back to square one. It was a lot of wasted time and effort to get to see you today and obviously I'm NOT happy and going somewhere else for future allergy care."
