"I can't say enough good things about this dental office! The care is simply amazing and the staff is super friendly. Booking appointments is a breeze, and the doctor is knowledgeable and wonderful. Plus, the employee who does my cleaning is simply amazing. I could not be happier with the service. Even though the office location changed and it takes me a bit longer to get there, I am happy to remain a patient for years to come. Every time I visit, I am greeted with laughter and warmth, and I truly feel welcome. I actually look forward to going to my appointments - that's how much I love this place!"

"Going to the dentist is usually dreadful especially because of the crazy teeth I inherited (haha!), but I have found comfort in my doctor and overall office here at Island Smile Dental Group! The administrative staff is knowledgable and very friendly. I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my appointments, which is not the norm that I have experienced. My doctor is very friendly, gentle and explains everything in detail. My doctor recently completed two dental implants and I was so nervous leading up to the day, but to my surprise, I didn't feel a thing. Overall a great experience all around. Definitely recommend trying out this office!"

"When I called to schedule my first visit I was greeted with professionalism and courtesy. When I arrived the building was clean and and the staff were welcoming. Although I don’t have small children I appreciate the space dedicated to young children in the waiting area. My time is important to me so I was happy for the short wait time. The dental hygienist was calming and went the extra mile to answer questions and put me at ease before performing any procedures. Just as she was about begin the X-rays, a wave of hot flash came over me and she stopped everything to turn on a fan and help make me as comfortable as possible during this embarrassing menopausal moment. She was gentle but extremely thorough. Luckily I did not have a reason to spend a lot of time with the Dentist but I was satisfied with our interaction and feel if I need further dental work I would trust Dr. Mekawy and the rest if the staff implicitly. I have been fortunate because I had a Dentist who was a family friend for many years until he retired. Since then I have been to several Dentists and had several bad experiences. Now I feel I have finally found my new long term Dental Office at Island Smile. Thank you for making my experience so pleasant."

"I love this place. I come here for my 6 month cleanings and don’t ever stress about a visit to the dentist. The front desk employee is charismatic and makes booking appointments easy, the doctor is wonderful and knowledgable, and the employee that does my cleanings is amazing! "I wouldn’t return. I called and they were able to fit me in for an emergency appointment because my bonding broke off on my front tooth and my dentist is on vacation. The dentist was super rough on me. She barely numbed me before she stuck the needle into my gums to fully numb and so I felt that entire process. She was very sloppy while working, the entire time water and air was being blown on my face and water was dripping down my neck. Then when she showed me the bonding it looked insane, it was leaving a huge gap between my teeth and didn’t look the same shape as my other teeth, I asked her to please change it as it was truly awful. She seemed extremely annoyed after that and went rougher and more rushed. She put the bonding so close that I cannot even get a piece of floss through and it feels so uncomfortable, it is jagged in some areas, and she didn’t polish the back so my tongue feels the roughness of the tooth all day. I have had this tooth broken since I was a kid and have never had it repaired this horribly. I have to pay my dentist a visit when he returns to try to fix it now, but at least I am not missing an entire bonding on my front tooth. As someone who doesn’t like dentists I felt so uncomfortable and anxious the whole time and was extremely shaky, I left and had to sit in my car for 5 mins before I drove because I was so shaky and stressed from the experience."
