If he doesn’t have to operate, he won’t do it (shockingly rare these days). "I went in for an outpatient procedure and had a pretty awful experience. Communication was slim - was not given instruction prior to the procedure, nor during. No follow up after the procedure. They were wrong about what it was and ended up closing when they figured out it wasn’t a lipoma - never communicated what they found instead of a lipoma, not sure she actually knew what she was looking at. During the procedure, complications arose when I began bleeding profusely. Experienced bleeding following the procedure as well - was not stitched or closed very well. The area grew back immediately with added scar tissue. Went to Wake Med to get it looked at and removed again, this time I went under with general anesthesia since I had an awful experience at this place and the scar tissue amounted for a longer, more complicated procedure. It turned out to be a hemangioma, not a lipoma. They got it all removed and it was a much more pleasant experience, especially with the amount of communication between the staff, surgeon, and I. During and after my procedure at Wilmington Surgical Associates, I did not realize how poor the quality of service was. After speaking to my surgeon at Wake Med, they were shocked with how mishandled I was at this office. The nurses and front desk at this location were lovely though."

"Hi! My name is Leilani. In 2017, I was involved in an accident that could have taken my life. Fortunately, I walked away with some bruises, a concussion, and a lipoma on my forehead. The doctors notated that the lipoma was benign and that the lipoma would resolve itself naturally. However, that was not the case for me. In fact, the lipoma grew and grew over the years. After many, let downs and discouraging “no’s”, I was finally scheduled to meet with a surgeon at Wilmington Surgical. When I tell you that the entire staff is phenomenal, I mean just that. From the receptionist to the billing department to the nurses to the assistance, it doesn’t matter who you see you are guaranteed to be greeted with a smile and a sincere welcome. I must admit that I was petrified because of the location of the lipoma. However, I will never forget the sense of gods peace that entered the room when Dr. Bebb came in to introduce himself before my surgery. My natural father was unable to be there due to an illness of his own, but Dr. Bebb personified a father’s care and concern. You could feel his heart in every reassuring word he uttered. Again the ENTIRE staff is amazing, but Dr. Bebb, FNP-C Ivey, Hannah, Hailey, and Addalyn are, by far, top notch! Thank you! Thank you for playing your role in helping get back to myself!"
