"I have huge anxiety when it comes to dentist. I had soo much pain that I had suffered through for years. It’s finally gotten to the point where it interferes with my everyday life. Anyways. I finally bit the bullet. Believe me when I say I had the best surgical team in the entire world. I have nothing to compare them to honestly because I have avoided dentist for 10 years. Also I was so sedated I literally can’t remember anything at all. I felt like I had taken a nap. I requested to be sedated through tax season but they kicked me out. Two thumbs up."

"I've had cleft palate operations here since birth, the most recent being today. These past two operation made me realize the standard of care has DRASTICALLY decreased. Strong Memorial has become the "fast food" of hospitals. Industrialized with bare minimum patient care. The main focus for this hospital now is profit and catering to corporate insurance policies. The patient voice has been erased completely from this hospital. The operation I had three weeks ago, I really should've stayed overnight but they pushed me out the door and I ended up in my local Emergency Room the same night choking on blood clots with zero pain medication even tho my tongue was split in half and sewn into the roof of my mouth and my jaw wired shut. My surgeon ordered pain meds the day of, insurance fought against them even tho they were covered, strong wouldn't advocate on patient behalf. My mother and local pharmacist fought for my best interest. The hospital did not. I'd recommend researching any other hospital before getting into bed with this one. Had my operation not been a specialty operation that needed the specific cleft and craniofacial team that is inside this hospital I would've gone anywhere else but here. My surgical team, Vorassi and his understudy Molly, they were incredible. Absolutely wonderful, and I'd see them any day, in any other hospital. Unfortunately there is only so much an individual surgeon can do to help a patient. This isn't the fault of my surgeons. This is the fault of Strong Memorial becoming a money based industry rather than a patient care based hospital."

"The worst mistake of my life was selecting URMC for my tongue tie removal surgery. Dr. Navraj Sandhu performed a wrong-site local anesthetic injection on me. Instead of injecting the local into the tongue tie, he recklessly stabbed the local needle deep into my tongue, which caused catastrophic, permanent nerve damage. He performed the wrong-site injection when his attending Dr. Antonia Kolokythas was inexplicably absent from the room to supervise the injection. I have been given no explanation for the catastrophic mistakes that were made, no apologies, or options for treatment of this terrible nerve damage. Now I have to endure a constant, extremely annoying numb tongue tip. Don’t make the same mistake by selecting Dr. Antonia Kolokythas or Dr. Navraj Sandhu for your surgery."

"They seem to have started taking calls and resuming normal operations again since a while ago, though they do require COVID tests prior to procedures. They do seem to have a packed schedule, with appointment times several weeks in advance. Had a minor procedure done recently. I thought they were rather caring as well as careful. I will say it is rather important to have a friend or family member to help speak on your behalf and wheel you out as you recover from the anesthesia. Recovery took about a month and I was very satisfied with the results."

"Gave me roughly 10 minutes to recover before being pushed out the door. The lady that took me down stairs was very rude. Asking me questions, then complaining when she couldn't understand me. The surgical staff was great, excellent beside manner."
