"Beware of Western New York Dental’s fees - because they don’t honor their advertised discounts. We went there in 2023 primarily because they advertised discounts for Independent Health members. We even verified they still provided IH discounts at the time we made the appointment. But when checking out, after the dental work was performed, they provided a discount that was substantially less than what they were advertising. We challenged them on this at checkout but they firmly said they don’t provide the advertised discount, even after we showed them a copy of it. False advertising is unlawful, and businesses should be held accountable for it. It took us 8 months of complaints before we finally received a full refund for their overcharging, and they provided that refund only after we filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)."

"I had a great experience here for a tooth extraction. I have a lot of anxiety due to past dental procedures & extractions, and I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it went. Dr. Williams & the assistant did such a great job. They kept me calm and informed. I highly recommend this office."

"A member of our family had to go to this location because of a wisdom tooth extraction referral. WNY Dental cancelled our first appointment and rescheduled. They supposedly called to confirm second appointment, however, two of the phones they supposedly called are no longer in service. Not sure why the system they use for the automatic calls wouldn't have kicked back that the calls that didn't go through. We ended up missing our appointment and are charged a $100 fee which is nonnegotiable and will be sent to collection agency if not paid. We did miss the appointment, that was on us, but most places are willing to work with you if you miss an appointment. The Dentists are okay and this was not the first time we've had issues with the office (at other locations as well). A WNY Dental location that is convenient for us, does not handle everything we would need done. So we are forced to go the other locations that may not be as convenient. There are so many great Dentists in our area, there is no need to go to such a large office as this. We found a great one location Dentist whose referrals are close by. The staff and office are great to work with and the wait time is very minimal."

"I had a very bad experience at this place. The hygienist i went to said my teeth were very bad and i needed root planing and scaling or my teeth would fall off. I have never even had a filing in my life so i was shocked. She said that it was going to be 100% covered by my insurance but it wasnt. They gave me a bill for 700 dollars and the insurance is not paying for it. They saw all my xrays and said my teeth were fine and this was an unnecessary procedure. I even went to the other WNY dental on main street and they said my teeth are fine. The billing department is very rude, i told them that they said it was going to be covered by insurance and they said that it isnt their responsibility."

"I had to switch dental practices bc my dentist retired. While I have no issues with the dentist the hygienist talks down to you throughout your entire cleaning. I take good care of my teeth, and keep a regular routine at the dentist but the criticism literally on every tooth of "ooh you have tarter"or "you'll get gingivitis and other cancers"was ridiculous. She even had me hold a mirror up to watch me watch her floss. I'm not a child. I can appreciate being passionate about your work or education, but the entire cleaning is always as if I've never brushed my teeth a day in my life. Not going back."
