"I drive around this school several times but never get a chance to visit. But today I was here for a math competition for kids and was very impressed with the school facilities. School got good library, good and large cafeteria, decent size school gymnasium & classrooms. Very good school."

"Came here for a marching band competition about 12 years ago. Seems like a lifetime but this campus was very clean and beautiful. The stadium was wide and open and a great place to perform. This was before they came in and installed turf."

"I don't think I should be in central because of one friend and her is Brittany and she said she is done with me and I can't be in the same school with cuz she is acting like a bully too me and I can't stand it anymore. I need to go to a different school besides central. I don't want to be in central this year anymore!"

"Everyones school experience is different, obviously, so there is no way that I can speak for every single student. But i do know that I can speak for myself when i say that there are some pretty awesome teachers on staff here. This dosent mean that every teacher is great because I myself have had some not so effective classes but if you end up with the right teachers then i promise that you wont be disappointed. The marching band and drumline are amazing and have competed at the GA Dome numerous times. Mr.Grass and Mr.Tucker are fantastic directors. (Mr.Grass will probably go down as one of my all time favorite teachers.) The band life is scary and completely worth it. We have been compared to a cult before because there are so many of us and we all know each other and we are all very strange. The art/drama/music programs are top notch, and there are some great people involved in them. The STEM program has some pretty hardcore students in it, i gotta say, they're all gonna run the world one day. They've got so many charity clubs and honors so theres not really an excuse to NOT join one. The Teacher-Apprentice program is amazing and its not an understatement if i say that it changed my life. I can go on about all this but really its the teachers that make it. If you are lucky enough to have teachers like Mr.Walkup, Mr.Prince, Ms.Garner or Mr.Grass then you are going to have a really good high school experience. I don't know a lot about sports so i cant tell you much about that but from what I've seen...i am frightened of the level of enthusiasm shared by some athletes. Our new principal, Mr.Young, is probably the best principal I've ever had. He is very enthusiastic and truly seems to care about the students. He is SUPER smart and he personally does observations or checks up on classrooms. He has been known to get very excited and teach whole classes if he likes the subject that they are covering that day. He has this catch phrase that he says every Friday during announcements that everyone knows by heart. Its become the school meme. "Now remember kids...you can be having fun without the drugs and alcohol. Stay safe out there and tell your parents where you are. and REMEMBER...nothing. good. ever. happens. after midnight! Happy Friday! Go Dawgs! WOOF! *click*" Central isn't perfect (what school is?) but honestly i wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

"FCHS is staffed with support teams, teachers, & administrators who truly care about students and student success. I am not certain about the experiences of the previous contributors, but as a parent (& teacher), my experience has been completely different. All students are encouraged to get 'plugged in' to clubs (academic or otherwise) to create a community of support. Teachers offer support in and out of class with office hours, study sessions, and many teachers volunteer their Saturday mornings- tutoring students who come in for extra help. Teachers actively look for ways to make content applicable to student needs and life goals. We are creating learners, community volunteers, and involved citizens. The new improved campus is still in the midst of construction. The students have been amazingly patient with the pangs of growth, knowing that there is purpose to the displacement & discomfort of longer commutes across the field. Love these young people! Love this staff! Love this school!"
