"Honestly, makes me sad to even write this. I have used Jackson hewitt for the last 3 years. This year has been the worse. Started out great, went in back in December he did great. However, when I went back yesterday January 15th the lady who helped me messed my taxes up. On the page where it shows your earned income credit, and other refund amounts, and their totals then says your refund amount the total and my refund ammount are two total different amounts making it to where there is $974 dollars missing. Then they took out all their fees from the smaller ammount which means I lost another $834 dollars. She changed the over all millage on my vehicle yearly millage from 6,400 to 29,800. And after being told repeatedly that I wanted the advance she never signed me up for it. As I was finishing up I asked yet again was I signed up for the advance was assured I was. She only printed 8 pages of the paper work non of which have my signature. I waited the hour for the advance text and email nothing contacted Jackson hewitt through their chat team was told have patience waited an additional 2hrs contacted again was told it wasn't signed so I called the call center to see what was going on. Was told by a manager that it was signed and have patience that it would take 24 hrs. At 7pm est I logged into my account pulled my taxes to see that not only was it not signed for, my millage was messed up, and the refund ammounts had been messed with. So now I have to go back into the office for a 3rd time to hopefully fix my taxes."

"My wife and I had to sit over 2 hours before we knew what we were paying. We bought a house last year and made home improvements, thinking we could write off interest paid and energy saving costs...so we sat there with all our receipts and asking for help with a long form. After sitting there patiently hoping for good news, we were told we couldn't write anything off unless we had 24 thousand dollars in expenses, so therefore we had to go short form. If we had known this, we could've saved over 200 bucks and did the short form ourselves. Jackson Hewitt ropes you in by having you sign forms and sit there while the girl behind the computer chats about anything to extend your sitting time. After nearly 3 hours, finally, we were told we were to pay $217.00 for services rendered...for a short form! This is a SCAM! Save yourself some time and money and either go somewhere else where you will be treated fairly, or do it yourself! One last note, if my wife hadn't checked on her debit, we wouldn't have known that we were charged twice for the service. We had to call about it, which our call was never returned after being told a supervisor will get back to us, but the second charge was taken off the account and credited back to us. JACKSON HEWITT, YOU LOST A CUSTOMER!"
