"I've just stopped going to Circle K's since they installed the self checkout; nothing here is worth your time. They cut their staff to barebones and nobody is watching the counter. Alcohol and tobacco sales, the two things most often purchased at a gas station, require an employee. You'll constantly find people just waiting at the self checkout trying to get anyone's attention to complete what should be a simple transaction. Lines build up. An employee comes over for that one transaction and then poof, they vanish again. Rinse and repeat. Ringing out takes FOREVER. I don't blame it on the employees, companies like Cricke K make careless decisions because leadership never has to pay the interest on those poor choices; staff and customers do. Trying to purchase anything here has become an absolute chore. Hard pass."

"It's a gas station... some charge for a cup of water which really grinds my gears.. people argue like I don't understand, which I do but I was born in the 80s and I grew up in a world where water that didn't come in a sealed bottle, was free. And by golly that's the world I choose to live in."

"How is it better having a self checkout system that barely works and you have 10 people waiting in line and 3 workers behind the counter playing on their phones talking to each other? It's like this at every circle k now. The employees are very rude if you tell them you don't want to use the broken self checkout, "it's against corporate policy" to what do your job."
