"I lived here in the 22/23 school year and it was the worst place I have ever stayed. I don't even know where to start. Mold grew in my room and in my bathroom, water did not drain from my tub for months and besides multiple maintenance requests, absolutely no one came to fix it. The elevators would be broken and being worked on constantly so I hope you enjoy hiking up some stairs every day. Staff is horribly lazy and on their phones, packages take days to be processed after they arrive/plus you can't pick up packages on weekends. The gym is horrible, rusty, moldy, nasty towels that were never washed. For parents of kids thinking to live here: It is not safe. Do not think that your son or daughter will be safe living here. The doors are left unlocked and open the majority of the time all over the property. There would be homeless people waiting in the stairwells of the parking deck from time to time or near my car. Also about the parking deck, it is always packed and that elevator also was never working which means you are walking up 5-6 flights of stairs to your car if you want to go out. I have also never been in a building that smelled so bad that it would gag you. The trash rooms are never maintained, with residents stacking trash bags from the floor to head height in there and the halls would begin to rot with the smell of old trash for weeks. The hallways also would reek of weed along with the trash smell which is always great coming back to every night to smell that. Also if you're on the fence about valentine commons, just call them, they wont pick up half the time, or shoot them an email that will never be responded to. Some bot is going to respond with an automated response to this review because they just don't care. The only time I was contacted by the office was to see if I was planning on renewing when my rent was going to be increasing by over a hundred dollars for zero change in the property. That is about all I remember from being there but just, DON'T LIVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. Ps. They set out a coffee bar the first week for parents to see when their kid moves in, then proceeded to not restock/refill it for the rest of the entire 12 month lease term."

"If I could give it 0 stars I would. I lived on the second floor here and it constantly smelled of rotting trash from trash build up in the trash room. A rat or some rodent lived in my walls and consistently crawled around at all hours scratching. My room reeked of trash from the trash room beneath me. Doors into the building were broken(per usual) and someone entered and set fire in the trash room that my room shared a wall with. If that wasn’t already bad enough, it caused sprinklers to go off and flood my apartment. All of my stuff was ruined and no refunds were given. I was literally homeless as they didn’t give me anywhere to stay as my entire apartment was covered in inches of water for days. No one gave me updates on the situation or helped me what so ever. They then took out the padding in my carpet and just put the carpet back on top, not even secured in the ground and put a ton of fans to fix the problem. My apartment literally began molding and I terminated my lease and left. I would not recommend living here to ANYONE. The management is absolutely horrible, they could care less about residents well being. In response to VCs response: they did not offer a hotel, after countless angry phone calls they finally gave into giving us somewhere else to stay 2 days after the event occured. They also did not even give us separate hotel rooms and had me share a room with my roommates, which makes no sense as we all paid separate rent for separate rooms. Also saying there was no mold is such as lie, it felt toxic being in the apartment after the whole ordeal, all of my friends agreed it was hard to breathe. Of course we were unhappy with your efforts, we had to beg for anything to be done in any sort of timely manner. Also all of my belongings that were affected by water damage never got reimbursed."

"Living here for a little over 2 years and I'm glad that I was able to move out when I did. This complex is never clean and the elevators barely ever work. Maintenance takes forever to fulfill requests and when they do they always leave stuff behind. I at one point had an issue with my refrigerator and the maintenance people took all of my frozen food out of the freezer and left it in the refrigerator. My shower (pictured) was given to me in the condition. The new management that we have is just as bad as the old one. I was out of town for 2 weeks and instead of emailing to let residents know about renovations, they left a note on doors and expected everything to be moved out of the way in order to "fix" things. I came home to trash everywhere and a lot of my stuff ruined because of poor communication. There's not enough parking for residents and the elevators in the deck are always broken. Pay the extra money and live elsewhere trust me. The trash chutes are no longer usable which only allows for 10 floors of residents to use the trash can on the sides of the buildings which fills up quickly and smells awful. The one valet trash can is simply not enough when there are multiple people living in one apartment. People steal your valet trash can often because they need more for themselves. The amenities that are offered aren't kept up to date. The "gym" is so old that majority of everything is rusted and the towels that are supposed to for residents to use, sit in a dirty basket for months before getting washed, yet the front office sits on their phones or talking to one another instead of doing their jobs. The only great thing about living here is how close it is to campus, but after walking home from campus you'd like to walk 9 flights of stairs because they elevators always broken then be my guest."

"I take everything back about this place! This place so god awful!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SPACE AND WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! They will not care about you at all, will violate multiple renters rights, staff will not be where they are needed at all, staff is also rude majority of the time, their portal doesn’t work and you pay for amenities that you can’t even access! YOU WILL REGRET LIVING HERE! IF ITS NOT TOO LATE GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN BEFORE YOU GET SCREWED! Not to mention the property manager is a incompetent person and doesn’t know how to run anything and the company itself is also too incompetent and full of lairs."

"Living on the second floor and the hallways smell like rotting trash. The trash is building up in the trash chute from every student on every floor living here and it smells like a carcass. I can’t bring anyone over because you want to vomit walking in the hallway. If you’re going to move in move to the top floor because it’s bad. The mattresses were yellowed when we got them from who knows what and the couch was busted with springs sticking up so it’s only possible to comfortably sit on one cushion. Management isn’t addressing the big problems here that can be solved by simply putting rubber around the door or installing better doors to the trash room to keep the smell locked in there. I want to get out of here asap and am very upset. EDIT: Because the security was so bad someone broke in the place and set a fire to our hall trash room. The flooding from the sprinklers destroyed all the apartments on the second and first floor and we’re getting bad mold growth here now that they caan do little about. The trash room is constantly over flooding and the hallways smell rancid constantly. They’re always towing people away outside for the smallest issue, no warning. In this picture, they wrongly towed the guy and had to put his car back. The gym is filthy and is never cleaned or sanitizedThat’s how bad it is here. The gym towels have been sitting in a bag here all year and no one has cleaned them!!! Save your money and live AT LEAST next door because anything is better than VC. The mold is still growing in random places and is a massive untreated health concern. All the suite rooms on the second floor will have mold problems by next year. Mark my words. It was all a cheap coverup to fix damages by killing two birds with one stone. They don’t care about residents here."
