"I was a tenant at Hamilton Ridge, an apartment complex owned by TAA sponsor, Related Management Group, and managed by TAA Board Director, Katy B. I informed Executive Director, Josie E., that Related Management employees (Rafael L. and Robert K.) took my box truck for a "test drive" in January of 2022 and never returned it. A week later, they signed a contract to purchase my truck but never made any payments. They then harassed me until I was forced to leave my home in fear for my life and property. I notified Nate V. of Related Management Group and Katy B., the property manager at the time, who actively worked against me to protect their employees and avoid negative publicity. Sadly, my truck is still being driven and used for business purposes by employees of Related Management Group who have done everything they can get away with to avoid justice. TAA refused to assist me and other tenants in obtaining justice and prefers to engage in networking parties for their greedy corporate sponsors, rather than provide advocacy for the individuals who are negatively affected by TAA's direct relationships and fiscal/political partnerships. TAA claims to be "the leading resource committed to the advancement of the rental housing industry through advocacy, engagement, and innovation." If this was the case, people like me and countless other residents with legitimate concerns wouldn't have to beg for assistance that has regrettably fallen upon deaf ears. I pray that no one else has to suffer like we are due to TAA's inability to follow through with their mission to engage and advocate for better, safer, and more equitable housing. We all deserve so much better."

"Visited the TAA HQ yesterday for a business meeting. Wonderful facility! Great staff, too. If you work in the rental space and haven't looked into the benefits that TAA offers, you're missing out. They have a membership option for Independent Rental Owners that is surprisingly affordable. (Less than one week's rental income on one unit...) Best kept secret: A training center that seats 80 at tables, 110 at chairs-only. Rentable for your events."
