The Retreat at Concord & Williamsburg

"First of all, thank you to the great staff members at the retreat at Concord for making my transition to my new apartment so easy and smooth. Every issue I have brought up has been addressed quickly and efficiently which I am grateful for. Carter has been amazing and one of my favorite property managers I have worked with. I work with different property management companies daily for my career so I can appreciate the effort he put in to make me feel at home here. Shariff and Deven who are part of the maintenance team have been very professional and friendly while taking care of the minor issues I have had while I have been here. The only real complaint I have as of right now is the parents who don’t supervise their kids while they play outside leading to them climb the mailboxes, pull trash out of the dumpsters, and run wild throughout the complex. This is probably due to a lack of supervision from the parents. I want the kids to play but not cause more issues for other tenants and maintenance who continuously pick up the trash every morning and for them to be safe. I also wish there was a dog park here but other than this, this place is the place to be within this area!"

"Trash ALL OVER. ZERO lights! Pitch black dark at night walking up to apt. Only lights are neighbors with lights on. The stairs are not painted so I’ve fallen a few times. Safety hazard. I actually broke my foot falling down decrepit, unpainted stairs. But the WORST is the harassment from the office when you are late. They send a letter stating they will come inside your apt 3x a week until your rent is paid. This will NOT make my rent come faster! We all live in hard times and really, How is this legal? All around DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!! I have pictures I will post and you will be disgusted on how bad this place is kept. It’s truly scary at night. Don’t get me started on the theift. My son’s bike was stolen with video of a resident stealing. What did they do? NOTHING!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!! I can’t wait to move next month! RE: regional manager Why should I contact you? Shouldn’t you be contacting me regarding this???!!!"

"I’ve been at this property over 2 years now. Management is great and always welcome you with a warm smile and ready to hear any concerns . Carter, office manager , is impeccable in his mannerisms with a kind, can-do and solution-focused attitude. It’s hard to find such genuine caring staff in the rental business. My only issue lies with young children running around unsupervised by their parents. The office has sent out numerous emails notifying residents about this as it is in our lease . Overall, its a quiet area and close access to restaurants, Carolina Mall, and the hospital is just across the street. I’ve enjoyed my stay here thus far where my neighbors are consideraré with noise levels and keeping the breezeway clean I will move when my son’s school assignment is changed and we need to be in a different school zone."

I have been taking care of this property for a while now and I have to say the leasing office staff/property manger- Carter Kendall have been absolutely amazing to work with. We have came together and worked with each other to make each others life easier out here at this property. The maintenance here as from what I can see also cares about the tenants and do what they can to help others and to keep people happy. All in all this property has a great environment/attitude"

"Typically, one unit in my building is being turned because someone moved out. The contractors who come to do the work have no respect for those of us that work from home or who need access to our units throughout the day. Avoid this place if you can afford to."
