Presley Uptown

"My best friend was interested in leasing here. I’ve been calling for over a week, and even sent a tour request on behalf of my best friend hoping for a phone call back. I then sent a tour request for myself, thinking that maybe they didn’t receive the first one. NOTHING! No response to the email, tour request, or phone calls. Since my best friend wanted a pretty immediate move in, we decided to do a “walk in” to see if se could get some assistance. We walked in today and was completely ignored by an older lady who didn’t even acknowledge our presence upon entrance (she was helping another couple but could have spoke) but didn’t even say hi. When she decided to tour them, she walked past us initially, didnt say anything, and then walked past us again and said “someone will be with you shortly” before getting on the elevator in the lobby. Sooooooo we waited around for another 10 mins or so before we walked in the leasing office yelling “hello” then this guy with Reddish/Blonde hair comes from the back and said “I’m on a webinar, she should’ve shut the door” He then proceeded to ask us if we’d wait until she returned in order to look at an apartment. At that point we were so turned off at the lack of service provided that I thanked him and said “no thank you, we’re good” he said in a very condescending tone, “ok, have a good day” and walked off. l couldn’t believe these are the people we have working on our front line! Sad very sad! There’s other places around Pressley that provide much better service than this place. Not to mention the trash that was thrown about, and a random couch that’s just sitting outside the parking garage as soon as you pull in. We tried to look past all of the trash because of the location. But, the customer service we experienced made this an absolute NO! Run as fast as you can away form this place. It’s not worth it."

"Lovely location and apartment building overall. I loved Rangewater but the building just sold and switched to Greystar management. So far I haven’t had a very positive experience with them, hopefully that changes. They pushed my transfer date with only 2 days notice and no good reasoning and now I am waiting around in a fully packed studio, living out of (and tripping over) boxes for 2 more weeks. Fun. Received notice around 5-6p on Thursday 11/16 for a Friday maintenance entry on 11/17. Maintenance never came and instead showed up the following Monday 11/20, no updates via email or paper notice saying they have to continue entering this week like the old company would. I appreciate common courtesy and being considered as a human being, instead I feel like a name and unit number on a sheet of paper that pays rent."

"Presley uptown apartments has been the best move I’ve made yet. & the maintenance guys, especially Jeffery have been extremely helpful, respectful, accommodating and nice during my transition to my new apartment. Thank you guys!"

"I got trapped in the elevator due to management's negligence and improper elevator safety. The apartment shut down power across the whole building as part of a planned maintenance activity *without warning the residents* and trapped me in the elevator. The emergency call button did not work in the elevator, nor was the safety inspection certification in place. I had to call 911 on my phone to be rescued, but if I had no signal or no phone access, I would have been trapped for 2+ hours until the power came back on. Management was cold and cruel when I reported this and refused to be sympathetic or offer any recompense. They manipulatively told me that no lawyer would side with me nor would I have any grounds for seeking justification. I'm a fresh college graduate with little resources, so I was scared to fight back. The people who work here acted evil and maliciously, which was shocking to me since I've never seen anything like it before."

"**** In response to the message left by Presley Uptown to this review : The time to have addressed these issues was when I was living at the property. I have several emails where I voiced my concerns, along with MANY phone calls where you explicitly lied about property management qualifications and the Broker in Charge of real estate dealings that happen on site. Without the proper information I requested my hands were tied. So, I happily removed myself from a less than satisfactory situation. This review is simply here to disclose my experience. Thank you! **** Negligent. Dishonest. Discriminatory business practices. Disinterested Dismissive attitude toward tenants - severe lack of communication and continuity. Grossly undereducated/unqualified in/of North Carolina Real Estate license law and Federal Fair Housing requirements. Rangewater Real Estate began managing Presley Uptown in Charlotte North Carolina shortly after I signed the lease in 2019. My experience was most unpleasant to say the least. Not just on a local level but every level. Upper management is just as disorganized, complacent and dismissive when it comes to tenant issues or concerns. BEWARE. Especially if you live below my old unit 607. There was visible water damage from a broken pipe. (Pictured) ALL of the elevators were past due for inspection when i moved out in July 2022. As well as multiple violations that management failed to address/correct in a timely manner. Unfortunately the aforementioned behavior is not an oddity and seems to be common practice for many properties under the management of Rangewater Real Estate."
