Bexley Commons At Rosedale 13255 Rosedale Hill Avenue, Huntersville, NC 28078

"I've lived in several apartment complexes over the years; some are good, some are not so good, as anyone who has lived in an apartment knows. I'm taking the time to write about Bexley Commons at Rosedale because of the exterior style of the apartments and the interior quality of my home. I feel like part of a community here and enjoy the sidewalks and wooded areas for walking my dog, Jack. The apartments are partially constructed with brick, and they look more like townhomes then apartments upon first view. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful every time I've interacted with them. I'm on my third 12-month lease right now. The second lease charge went up steeply as most other apartments in the area did. The staff worked with me and we were able to find a cost I could afford. There have been some things in the last three years that have troubled me, such as leaves not being removed during the winter of 2022, but that has been rectified this year. There are other landscaping decisions that bother me, such as leaving the roots of trees visible throughout the winters instead of being covered. That is why there is a star missing. I realize that there are decisions during budget allocation that I know nothing of, so the landscaping is probably not a serious priority when money is allocated, but I wish they would either hire someone who knows what they are doing or spend a little more on the landscapers they use. That's my only concern. Overall, I love the community, my neighbors, and the quiet peacefulness of the community."

"We have been residents at Bexley since May and I have been very pleased at our overall interactions with all of the staff. Leasing office is always available when we need them and maintenance requests are fulfilled quickly. I will say, our apartment feels old and run down. The carpet is stained, the cabinets have visible wear and tear, the windows are old and hard to open/close. You can tell they tried to repaint the cabinets but there is a bunch of white paint off spray. Our dishwasher is old and kind of gross. I just wish they had done more work the fix things up before we moved in especially considering the overall rent costs. Also, I love that we have the pool but it seemed cloudy and dirty often. Like the chemicals weren’t balanced properly. The dog park is small and people do not clean up after themselves. The trash is always full and overflowing. I am however very excited to see the clubhouse after renovations are complete. Having a more up to date gym and coffee bar will be nice! Overall, Bexley has things that I feel could be improved upon but I know the friendly staff are there if we need them!"

"This place started out okay but ended up being pretty bad. We moved here in 2021 and the rent for a two bedroom was $1,260 (great deal). The apartments are old and built in the 80's, but the clubhouse, pool, and location made up for it. It's also walkable distance to the Greenway and shopping nearby with restaurants and grocery stores. As time progressed they claimed we were charged "COVID pricing" originally and that rent was going to go up significantly. Our next lease was $1,610 - pretty big jump. During this time we saw police activity heightened due to new neighbors moving in. Situations where guns, violence, drugs, domestic abuse, and just crazy people in general causing disturbances both day and night. We honestly didn't feel safe at our location. Thankfully, we just got married and bought a house, but they were trying to charge us $2,100/mo for a 14 month renewal lease. Our mortgage for a 4bd 2.5bath is $2,331 with 0.33 acres. No way rent should be even close to that. In the few weeks before we moved out the police were there 4+ times dealing with violent disputes. I just saw my old neighbor post on social media that he was threatened with a knife and called slurs just for asking someone to pick up their dogs #2. I don't know how these people keep moving in, but they are bringing down the value of these rentals significantly. The properties themselves are old and outdated. You can't charge competitive market price if you're not offering competitive market rentals - especially with all the crime emerging from that area specifically. I would look at a better area with newer apartments - they're probably charging the same price."

I never have to wait around for work orders, They are done efficiently and professionally! I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone who is looking to stay somewhere with a staff that truly cares. They work diligently and will not let you down!
