Cheswyck at Ballantyne Apartments

"I lived here for 2 years and I have a few things I want to comment on: 1. There are roaches everywhere. Pest control coming out to spray does nothing. I saw a roach every day for the last year. I emailed the leasing office and got ZERO response. They also don’t come out quarterly, they came twice a year at most. This affected my decision to break my lease. That’s how bad it is. 2. This is a very populated complex. A lot of kids and families live here. Kids are constantly screaming at the top of their lungs and running/playing in the streets. The kids don’t pay attention to oncoming cars so be careful driving through here. If you work from home (like I do), take note of this. 3. The speed bumps are atrocious. And they are everywhere. 4. Both compactors are always full. Trash is piled up outside of them all the time. And recycling bins are hidden behind the compactor so it was difficult to use them when the closest ones were full. 5. Don’t email the leasing office. They won’t respond to you unless you call. 5a. The people in the leasing office at the time I moved in were clueless. I was never presented a lease agreement until I walked in the door to hand them my deposit. Someone did agree I should have had it well before I came in. 6. I never received a gate code when I moved in. Had to go up to the office to get one, and when I did it didn’t work. Someone is always running into it and knocking it over so the speaker didn’t work. 7. When the complex got new maintenance staff, I put in a couple work orders and when they came out to investigate, was treated like I was a moron. My ice maker has never worked and was asked “well did you know you had it off?” Yeah, because it never worked!! I was never offered a new fridge or any sort of solution. All in all, the area is nice and close to everything. But there are other apartments in Ballantyne that will provide you with the same amenities and way better customer service than Cheswyck does. Also in reading some of their replies to recent negative reviews, you are better off living elsewhere."

"i can review minus if i have option. These all staff are rude and racism. every bad things happen in this complex apartments. this place will try to rob you of your money, stay away and don’t rent here, it will turn into a nightmare as soon as issues start arising or you have to deal with there senseless management. previously tenant gave only 1450 and now they charged me around 2000 . apartment don't have any facility and it's too much dirty. Indians, don't come in this ridiculous staff."

"Do you want to never know peace? This is the complex for you. If you love roaches and high utility bills, you’ll absolutely love Cheswyck. If your car just doesn’t have enough scratches and dings, no worries the lovely residents at Cheswyck can fix that for you. Wanna take a dip in the pool? Enjoy swimming in piss and being covered with rashes. And best of all you’ll be safe behind the gates that the lovely residents drunkenly drive through!"

"This apartment complex is overall a complete joke! I have lived here for about 4 years and have had nothing but issues recently. When divining my lease in the beginning there were no issues besides roaches here and there. But now within the last year a had a raccoon living above my apartment for months maintenance took several weeks to fix still have constant roaches in my apartment and now after running into issues with getting a new roommate and having to sign a new lease agreement they are trying to charge my 1900 a month for a 13 lease term when first I have been paying about 1300 a month for the last 4 years and they don’t even have an apartment in the complex that is set at 1900 a month. This place will try to rob you of your money, stay away and don’t rent here, it will turn into a nightmare as soon as issues start arising or you have to deal with there senseless management."

"RACIAL DISCRIMINATION! They treat tenants differently. I highly advise any POC specifically African Americans to not move here. Once you start making complaints about things, they will refuse to work with you or take accountability. As a teacher, it’s very awful to experience the despicable behavior from this leasing office. I’ve been living here for over a year and honestly this should be your last resort when seeking to move to the Ballantyne area. Please DO NOT be fooled like I was."
