"Located north of Barryville, NY. Contains multiple trails and monuments of the battle of Minisink part of the American Revolutionary War in 1779. The walkway to the monument is natural green moss that looks incredible. It also has a picnic area and a visitor's center to explain further this historic event."

"I just read about this battle and was in the neighborhood. Nice trails, not much to see but it was a beautiful day here"

"Great little park on the site of a skirmish the British and Native allies won during the American Revolution. The park has interesting historical displays and is well maintained by Sullivan Co parks. There are picnic tables, restrooms, a pavilion and plenty of parking. The trails are quite short, only mildly challenging and often covered in moss. A good place to take kids and older people, though most trails are not in line with ADA standards."

"Service is sketchy. We were only car in parking lot. Lots of history here and many trails. The trail to the statues is a climb."

"I have not yet visited, rather I've been researching sites recorded in Glenn F. Williams's "Year of the Hangman: George Washington's Campaign Against the Indians." In doing so I came upon the following pages including that of the Minisink Valley Historical Society ( http://www.minisink.org/minisinkbattle.html ) and the New York State Museum's Battle of Minisink Memorial Dedication Ceremony page ( http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/research-collections/state-history/notes/battle-minisink-memorial-dedication-ceremony ) where you can read more about the battle and site."
