"The Flats at Salem was my first apartment that I had no issues with while living there, and I would recommend this place for first time renters as well. The only issue I have is not with the apartments but the company. The company is money hungry!! They expect me to pay for move out charges that they cannot explain to me on their own (mind you, I was never called pertaining this manner. I had to find out a month after moving out that there were charges on the portal) When I asked about the breakdown of the charges, I was told that I was being charged for every day I had the keys, (they set my move out date for a Saturday and the office is closed on Saturday. They do not have a dropbox or mail slot to drop off key), and the other reason (after justifying the first reason) was that I did not fulfill my 30 day notice (they picked my move out date, not me). So which excuse was it? Tried speaking with a manager about the manner and it’s been radio silent for months. But they can send out a collections bill for payment. That’s a joke."

"I've been living here for about 2 and a half years now. The apartments aren't super spacious, and the cabinets are a little dated, but overall, I like it here. The neighborhood is quiet. It's not rowdy and you won't hear a lot of noise/disturbance throughout the community. I also really like where this apartment complex is located. I feel like it's a safe area. The maintenace guys are quick to fix things and they've always been polite/respectful towards me. I like their professionalism. They also do a great job of keeping the community grounds clean. It's the type of neighborhood that looks well kept. Overall, it's a place that I'd recommend."
