"I took my car to this shop twice for a thermostat replacement. He didn’t replace it the first time because he said the check engine light wasn’t on. It was intermittent at the time. I had told him that needed done. I returned when the light came back on and I found out that he hadn’t completed that portion of the job. The first time he kept my car for about a week. The second time he said the job would be done in one day. He called me when I was going to pick it up, and told me he didn’t order the parts. He said that he would have to keep it for about a work week again. I declined the service and asked if my car was fully assembled to take home. He told me it was. I left the same day with my car once again not repaired. I took my car for an oil change, and the technician kindly showed me that the gasket was just sitting under the hood. Matt left my car not only without repair, but also in assembled, and he wasted 2 weeks of my time in the process."
"Had my first experience with West Stanly Automotive a few weeks ago and will be happy to continue to take my business there as needed in the future. Called ahead and spoke to Matt about needing my transmission fluid changed. He was up front with me about his next availability, and worked with me around my scheduling needs to schedule a time to get my car there. He gave me an estimated cost up front without hassle, was timely as he described in getting my car tended to, and alerted me of any changes or findings along the way. The price quoted was roughly the same as charged, but even so he still was up front with me before my arrival that it was a few dollars higher than anticipated - reasonably so. Really couldn’t ask for any better service!"
