"The chicken wings was delicious with the signature sauce. The garlic was good and the chicken wings really crispy. I ordered potatoes with honey, really tasty and craving it after back home. The interior inside really lovely and cool. Gonna be back here."
"Cool decorations but food was pretty mid. We got 20 wings and all of them were super dry even with the sauce. The garlic bread was nothing special and honestly the highlight was the wedge potatoes because they were crispy."
"I dined at the original Anchor Bar recently as part of a work tour of Buffalo. Their chicken wings were good, but not anything special compared to other wings in the Buffalo area. To be honest, I much preferred the chicken wings I had at Blue Fire Bar & Grille, located at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott hotel, to these. However, I did enjoy their extreme chocolate cake, which was extremely decadent! Staff was also quite friendly. If I am ever in Buffalo again, I would very likely go elsewhere for chicken wings."

"Being a fan of Buffalo Wings and having eaten them at most places in my homestate of New Jersey, it only made sense to give Anchor Bar a shot on our way through Buffalo. The setting of the place is very cool! Lots of memorabilia and pictures on the walls of celebrities who have eaten there. Rather spacious, as we only had to wait about five minutes to get a table. The fried pickles as an appetizer was an excellent choice! Very tasty! 20 wings in medium sauce was the main course. The sauce itself was very flavorful and had a bit of heat to it. Not to overpowering, just enough kick to keep you coming back for more! However, I personally thought that the wings were a bit too crispy/overcooked. I found them to be tough and a little hard to chew. I wish they had been softer. I'm still happy I can say that I ate at the Anchor Bar, and would encourage anyone else to give the place a try as well!"
