"We had a couples massage booked for my birthday, terrible experience, staff (front desk) were rude. This would have been our 2nd experience with hand and stone. 1st experience was a few yrs ago for couples facials, and everything was great. Don't know what happened between then and now, if it is under new management, or if it's a new crew, but after what we went through, we unfortunately don't plan on trying then again."

"My daughter and I had appointments for 2 facials and 2 massages. This was scheduled far in advanced. Five minutes before we arrived, they called to cancel both our facials. At arrival, they cancelled one massage. They were only able to do 1 of our 4 appointments."

"This location has drastically went downhill over the last year. We used to love it and came multiple times throughout the month. With the constant change in staff and attitudes you receive during the visits it's just not worth the price you pay for a membership. Multiple times we have been double booked, or our appointment has somehow been canceled after receiving the confirmation message. Finally after the 4th time, my family has decided to take our business elsewhere. I do hope this location is able to get their act together soon though before more members leave."

"I typically do not share my experiences but I feel like I need to express my opinion about my first time at hand and stone massage. I had received a gift card from a friend and have never been to a hand and stone before so I redeemed my massage this week. I just selected a day and time and was put with a massage therapist randomly, her name was Liz. She took me in a little early, since I arrived early, and went into the massage room. I told her my problem areas and she had me face down first. I had my hair in a bun (typically I do for massages at my regular place) and she told me to take it out because she was going to lay the hot towel over my hair, which I thought was very odd and my hair was wet. After turning over, the massage therapist would massage my legs down to my ankles then cover my feet with the cloth to massage my feet, which I thought was odd too. I almost felt my massage therapist was afraid to touch me and was not through enough in the whole session. Overall, I did not have a pleasant first time experience at Hand and Stone. After the massage was done, I feel as I did not get the relaxation you normally feel after an hour massage, which was not even a full hour. The receptionist told me when I booked it is a full hour massage but when I called they had told me it is in fact a 50 minute, I was never told when booking. In the meantime, I do not know if I will be re-booking at hand and stone, I will just go to my regular spa. After contacting over phone, I was only given the opportunity to re-book with another massage therapist at the introductory price, which is only $20 off, I was not pleased with this."
