Reviews
"This is a nice nature trail located on the Durham/Orange County border, with a 1 or 2 mile loop. It also buts up against the Duke forest for additional wildlife trails."
"Nice and easy trail in the woods. There are a few bridges with smaller streams based on rainfall. Worth it for a quick walk with very little elevation. *** note about pictures** someone posted Mountain View pictures tagged to this trail. That is a separate park almost two hours away. That’s Hanging Rock State Park"
"Excellent trails. Water, big stones and forest. You can walk with dogs. Please bring bags for waste with you if you go for a walk with your dog."
"I’m not from around Durham, and I found the topography of the trails really unique! There was a swamp area with green water off to the side and a meadow (just randomly in the middle of the woods) with an old barn. The forest has an old and rustic feel with a lot of tree roots and low-lying branches. The path is also covered in pine needles. It’s a lot different from the wide and well-worn trails through forests of oak trees that I’m used to. I like the vibe and I’ll definitely come back again!"
"It's a great little hike (great for families). My favorite section is the shorter trail that goes near the river. There's a interesting pond you pass with some kind of green algae on the surface."
