Drifter's Reef Hotel

"I thought itvwas a decent clean place. The pet fee was almost equal to 2 nights stay. I thought that was high. But we have 2 small pocket dogs. This is a good place if you want ro stay up and party. I do not. It is loud all night. And I mean all night. If you sre looking foe a quite place to rest at night this is not it. I did not get hardly any sleep just checked out at 630am because of being up all night because of the upstairs TV being wide open all night. Called the front desk. Got nowhere. So got up packed and left. Want a good clean room decent price and don't care about noise this is your place."

"Read a lot of bad reviews so me being me I wanted to come check it out for myself and it's better than what I've heard. It's very close to the beach and pet friendly. I will be coming back here. It's clean yet slightly outdated but for the price and location and the amenities you really can't beat it. I would recommend this place to my friends. All we and our pups need is a place to shower and sleep."

"Floors were FILTHY!!!!! It's a good location but that's all this dump has going for it! Our room NEEDED toilet paper emergency but at 8:30 am, the office was closed and I had to call and wait for someone to come get the toilet paper. NEVER, EVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!! My little doggy didn't even want to walk on the floor. They were that dusty and dirty! So far overpriced! Charges rates like a 5 star facility but only provides a bad Motel 6."

"If you have even a tiny bit of dignity, don't stay here. The base of the bed is made of metal, and when you move it sounds like a big "GONG" that could probably be heard by people in the next room, or even outside.... All day long there were crazy people making lots of noise - yelling, swearing, kicking and banging on doors, fighting, throwing things... A drunk man sat on the sidewalk right at our door, smoking a cigarette, and the smoke was coming right through the door. My husband said something to the man, but he refused to move. We complained to the young man at the front desk about a woman that was making a scene, causing A LOT of disturbance, and asking everyone if she could use their phone. He said he would go talk to her, but never did. And he wouldn't call the cops on her either, even though we suggested it. So, at 1:00 in the morning, the old drunk man was sitting in his truck playing music really loud, the crazy woman was still banging on doors and yelling and making her car alarm go off, etc. We couldn't take it any longer. My husband yelled to the old man to shut the music off, and called the cops on the crazy woman. She almost hit the cop car as she was backing out, and thank God they arrested her and took her away. Needless to say, we didn't get any sleep. We didn't feel safe at all and had to keep an eye on our motorcycles all night. The management and policies at Drifter's Reef are obviously no good. I would highly suggest staying somewhere else. There are much nicer, and safer places to stay at Carolina Beach."
