Comfort Inn Matthews/Charlotte 1718 Windsor Crossing Drive, Matthews, NC 28105

"My Wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Matthews, NC and unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. The second floor of the hotel had a strong smell of musty/mildew, which was very unpleasant. Additionally, the hotel staff tried to conceal the odor of mildew by putting Glade plugins down the hallway, which was not an acceptable solution to the problem. The comforter in our room had stains on it, which made us feel uneasy. The bathroom also had a strong smell of vomit, which was very off-putting. We had the maid service come back up and re-clean the bathroom but that only made it worse. The shower curtain in the bathroom had mildew on it, which was very unhygienic. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I would advise them to look for other options in the area."

"This was my first time here and it has been a marvelous stay. Staff was outstanding and management was SUPERIOR! I can say all of my years of traveling in different states/cities this is now one of my favorites! I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service, it is unmatched!! Mr.Chet (the manager) himself has went out his way to serve me and my family graciously. Also Ms. Tabitha was very pleasant to talk with, she’s phenomenal. The rooms were extremely comfortable, cozy and CLEAN! Even if you get hungry, there are tons of restaurants within a 3mi radius. Its a 10/10 for me!!!"

"Was planning to stay 2 nights but left after the first night because the room was gross! There was a large flying bug crawling across the wall above the bed. Room overall needed a deep cleaning. The interior of the hotel needs a total makeover and basic maintenance performed. I cannot recommend a stay here!"

"Definitely had a good nightly experience. The rooms are affordable and very clean and the staff was very kind. The general manager helped check us in and was very helpful. I would definitely stay again."

"Overall, it's good hotel for the money, under 90 a night. The hotel is worn down and older and definitely in need of general maintenance and upgrades. Hallways smell very musty, and they've placed plug-in deodorizer every 20' or so. Drapes don't stop lights from coming into the room at night. Beds are comfortable and the water pressure is amazing."
