"We love this place. As a half Italian, I appreciate the authentic and fresh food. The prices are reasonable for the portions given."
"So from the moment I walked in, it was very weird. I walked in to order breakfast. First time trying this place. First, I asked for a hero bacon egg and cheese sandwich with a coffee. The lady says…. “It’s $6.50.” (Which is extremely expensive but I was willing to pay it anyway) I then say “for a hero or roll”. She replies… it’s 6.50 and up. So I said alright I’ll get that then. Then I repeat my order. She quickly writes it down and walk away. As I’m trying to pay nothing is loading in my phone so the cellular connection in there is horrible. Once I got outside again my phone was working fine. - Once I get my food I see it’s a roll. I say I ordered a hero and she replies no you didn’t, you didn’t say anything but take this… it’s the same thing.. you’re saving 50 cents. Etc. I can tell she’s working on online orders and walk-in’s perhaps but the customer service was horrible. And her response to the issue and her tone wasn’t appreciated. I would have disputed the issue if I wasn’t in a rush. I just ended up paying and leaving. This was an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. I will not recommend or return. Hopefully, moving forward they are more attentive to the specifications of their customers orders and to their customer service."
"We just got their chicken marsala "bundle pack" and it was great. The food quality was A+ and the staff is very friendly. For a working class family looking to get a take out dinner the value is unbeatable. I would highly recommend Palermo Deli!"
"This spot has been hit or miss lately. The wait times could be improved even after ordering ahead - the cashier isn't always assigned. You might have to wait for one of the guys making sandwiches. However, the delivery driver is great and always ready to put in an order for you. Cold sandwiches are great. Hot sandwiches are so-so. The meatballs not only taste like straight bread but they smell like it too. Worth a try though."
"Local real Italian restaurant with really good food. Their sandwiches are the best! Fresh high quality meats and in-house made mozzarella cheese. Their sandwich bread is phenomenal and made with pride and love! We always grab lunch there when we are working in Bayonne!"
