"We were blown away by the whole experience! Service: I gave our reservation and name to the hostess, she greeted us like family. That was the best greeting I've had at a restaurant. The waitress, Kayla, is such a sweet person! She was really personable, and showed her passion/adoration for The Refuge very well. She really is a gem! The Ambiance: As I said earlier...blown...away! This is a dimly lit restaurant themed so well. The ceilings are draped with "christmas lights" right now they are red, and there's a cute heart "chandelier" hanging down. Look around, there is so much to see from the ceilings to the chairs, not one detail left blank. It is almost like you are outside in the middle of a small town. Some people compare it to being in the Pirates of The Caribbean ride. We were lucky enough to have one of the beautiful high rise gazebos, it really makes you feel important, i can't get over the secluded beauty that it is. The Food: Phenomenal! We had a taste of the Valentine's Day menu to come. There is the filet mignon, crumbled lobster, with heart shaped ravioli in a cream sauce. You can't miss this! We also had one of the pizzas (there were two of us and we shared it easily). Shout out to the Volcano Shrimp Alfredo Pizza...they are handmade out on the floor (feel free to watch them at the special station). Everything was cooked perfectly, and with so much care. For dessert, we had a special Valentine's Day creation...A mini full Raspberry Cheesecake, with a sweet sauce to compliment it all, and a chocolate covered strawberry... So delicious and perfect for two! The cocktails were delicious and had a nice kick, wow, can't wait to come back!!!! Btw, check out their event hall and smaller meeting spaces inside, they are so beautiful and very separated from the noise and busyness of the restaurant."

"Really an amazing place we went to try! The atmosphere was great it made me feel like I was in the Midwest and the service was great had a great waitress Ashley very attentive and great! And then the food was so fresh and amazing! The pizza was great with the flavor the rice balls were cooked perfectly and the calzone was amazing as well as the amazing cheese pull from the fried mozzarella! The entrees were great too loved my skirt steak with fresh garlic mashed and garlic seasoned veggies and the tres leches was a great dessert as well can’t wait to go back!"

"So far just got in they had 1 menu for 5 people. You need to pour your own water. I had to open my own champagne when ordering the bubbly bar. Dirty glasses, no napkins brought. Live music is a great touch. Table has 2 big metal pieces can't put plates on top of. Do not order the desserts worst I've ever had. We tried every dessert and there was not a single one anyone would suggest. Our server hasn't been around in 20 minutes either to bring the check."

"Very spacious place, not crowded. I went there with my United Mortgage team and everyone was glad we went there. I ordered the grilled churasco with mash and veggie. Churasco cooked perfect for my taste. Mash had great flavor as well as the veggies. We started off with appetizers wings, calamari, ropa vieja tortillas and cheesy garlic bread. Everything was delicious. My drink the mango margarita was good and strong. Looking forward to going back again. Our Server was amazing and very attentive to our team."

"We brought my mom here for her 70th birthday. I have dined here several times in the past but for some reason the music was extremely loud this visit. We could barely hear ourselves talking to one another. I appreciate good music but it doesn’t need to drown out the conversations at the table. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. I thoroughly appreciate that this establishment caters to vegans and had a few entree options available. However, I was disappointed they do not have any vegan appetizers or dessert options available. We ordered the harvest salad (two without feta cheese for the vegans), the spicy seitan tacos, the sweet pea ravioli and seitan meatballs and the quinoa encrusted salmon. The salad was tasty, although could have used a tad more dressing. The seitan tacos were unfortunately a bit bland. It would have been outstanding if it packed a lot more flavor. The sweet pea ravioli was amazing, hands down! The encrusted salmon I was told was perfection! Overall we had a decent experience but there’s absolutely room for improvement regarding the vegan options and the atmosphere."
