"Love the new "Dickies"... Algeria is a pleasant surprise to replace the old Dickies. Patricia (owner) is eager to please and make your visit as pleasant as possible. We ordered the usual brisket sandwich w/ sides. It was cooked well, flavorful, tender, and had a great taste! Don't be fooled by the "basic fastfood style" decor( one less star). Hopefully the new addition of Spanish selections to the menu will help with business. We will have to return to try some."

"TL;DR: Friendly owner and employees. Good food and vibes with slightly elevated prices. I used to frequent the now-closed Dickey’s BBQ Pit whenever I was in the area, but wasn’t surprised when they closed. As I was driving by the other day I noticed that a new restaurant had opened in its place. When I entered I noticed a bunch of balloons and decorations waiting to be hung. There were several people sitting at a table eating lunch. I asked if they were open and a woman (who I later learned is the owner) said that they were open and had been open for business for about four weeks. Alegria sells both Spanish food and barbecue, so you may have to visit twice to get the full experience. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and asked for chef’s choice (basically letting them pick for me). I received a $21 beef plate with rice and a side salad. I was tempted to order a cup of fruit juice, but adding an additional $5 to my already pricey lunch was out of my comfort range. Thankfully the portion size easily allowed me to stretch the one meal into two and I enjoyed leftovers the following day. I wasn’t a huge fan of the beef, but the flavors of the sides made up for what the beef was lacking. I would try a different meat next time."
