Virginian Motel

"My belongings were stolen; my family was told they would give them 30 days to retrieve them & they came from Houston & was told they 'disappeared' from thier office. DO NOT STAY HERE. My family was told by law enforcement & various locals they weren't surprised!!! I had an unfortunate situation of which I had no other option but to leave my belongings in the room & my family called WITHIN HOURS TO EXPLAIN & offered to keep paying for the room until my belongings could be retrieved but were told they needed the room & would give us 30 days... My father passed away the end of Jan unexpectedly & my backpack had some of his ashes and various items from him in it. As pictured, my cape was a gift from him & my backpack was and firearm belt was all I had. It is repulsive to imagine the loss of items that can not be replaced. A report of theft is being made - the photo is what I sent my family of my belongings before I walked out of the room. Google maps has my location timeline. Video surveillance of my location is also recorded about town. Law enforcement is involved with part of my belongings and an attorney has been obtained. Why law enforcement doesn't have all my belongings is just as confusing as my family called the hotel a total of 8x to keep them updated while they tried to arrange my items being retrieved...all conversations were recorded and the last one, in person, video recorded in person and the desk person contradicted his story 3 different times. Absolutely unbelievable."

"It’s a dump. The carpet had rips in it and needs to be replaced. The towels were stained and I wasn’t taking a shower in that tub."

"OK, I had never stayed here, I live in Stuart! I did get ca room and the new staff there is just awesome! So very friendly, the room I was in isn't anything special but it was nice and clean."

"This place is very very nasty. The room we stayed in had a stench like an old dog smell in the carpet. The towels had stains on them. When we pulled the sheets back there was some kind of black specks where your feet go on the bed. We did have a can of Lysol to spray the bed down with. We also asked for a refund but the manager said you signed the paper which said you have 15 minutes to make a decision on the room before we will give you a refund. The only reason that we went to this place was because we were told that it had been remodeled, which this room had not been remodeled. It was late at night and we would’ve had to of driven 30 more miles to get to another motel. Take my advice don’t stay at the Virginia motel in Stuart, Virginia."

"New ownership for hotel are fantastic. First time staying with them and we forgot to notify them of our service animal. I went back in office and the owner was more than awesome about it all. They are also renovating so I recommend anyone needing to stop at hotel in this area to choose them over the bigger brands. The staff is awesome the owners the whole vibe was a break from the rude entitled hotels of the big chains"
