"HELLO EVERYONE THIS WAS TODAY FRIST OF ALL THE 2 GUYS THAT WAS THEIR HOURS BETWEEN 2PM AND 3PM THEY HOSPITALITY AND GREETING IS NOT GOOD THEY RICE WAS SOGGY THEY GIVE MORE RICE THAN MEAT THEY PUT ALL THAT GRAVY TO MAKE LOOK LIKE THEY GIVE YOU ENOUGH MEAT THEY DID NOT LIKE ME CAUSE I OPEN UP MY FOOD IN FRONT OF THIER FACES I THINK THEY CHANGE THE PERSON WHO COOKED THE FOOD BEFORE I TASTE MORE SALT THAN THE SPICES IT'S SELF CUSTOMERS HAVE THE WRITE TO SPEAK ABOUT THEY FOOD BEFORE LEAVING THE BEING THAT IT'S MY MONEY."
"This has been my go-to spot I love the fried chicken, chicken soup, curry goat and oxtail I really like that the flavor is always consistent."
"The food was underwhelming. I ordered the Jerk Chicken which was mildly spicy but lacked flavor. The rice and peas were extremely mushy- overcooked. They did not have Mac and Cheese, another disappointment- but that would be okay if the food was good. Based upon the neighborhood and the reviews I expected better. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all but under normal circumstances I wouldn’t leave a review either. The only reason I’m leaving a review is because the posted price said $13 but I was charged $14. The price is fine if the food was good, but ultimately I threw over half away so it was just a waste of money."
"Island taste cuisine is one of my favorite Jamaican restaurant. The jerk chicken and brown stew chicken is ridiculously good. This a take out restaurant, but service is fast. Worth the trip to the Bronx."
"Pay attention to the address… the store is located under train. So after walking in from the street I immediately was greeted. I ordered two large oxtails one with rice n peas the other with Callaloo. The plates were heavy !! And made with love and respect … big up’s to the chef will be returning for more… and the prices were definitely reasonable. Good buy !!!!!!"
