"I'd been a few years ago and recall enjoying it. This visit was mediocre at best, finished off by the owner (!) being rude to us. The place was woefully understaffed for a Saturday night, which had the owner rushing around trying to cover what the one waitress and bartender couldn't. It took a long time to get waited on, and we watched people at the door leave when he couldn't get to them in a timely fashion to seat them. The owner ended up making a grossly passive aggressive move with an empty plate I had set on the empty table beside us, picking it up and putting it back in front of me instead of taking it with him on his way back to the kitchen. He apologized when he returned, seeing our surprise and hearing us comment on it. He tried to excuse his decision to not bus our empty plates (but could clear an empty table) by explaining that he "didn't want to get the other table dirty with my plate." Overall the drinks were good, the tacos have gone down in taste and were significantly smaller than my last visit, and I feel badly for the very few staff trying to make a living at a place where they can't bus the tables, let alone get a Saturday crowd seated and waited on since more than half the tables were empty and the owner preferred to stress himself out trying to take up the slack, quite ineffectively."

"Diego’s is a wonderful place. Friendly staff, amazing food and margaritas are top notch. I love a spicy marg and they know how to do it! Food is fresh. If you’re thinking about going- do it!!!"

"Fellow vegans, beware! The special described to me by the waitress included bacon and I informed her, no thanks, I am vegan. I ordered the $15 two taco with one side special. Both tacos consisted of veggies. When the food arrived, my black beans were sprinkled with queso blanko. When I complained to the waitress and reminded her that I am a vegan, she said “I told you to read the menu carefully” because the veg tacos were smothered in mayo and some cheese (surprise!). I reminded again her that I was vegan, no dairy no meat. She offered to scrape the non-vegan elements off my order. I paid the bill (no tip) and left. Enter at your own risk."

"Dim place. The food was okay I got the taco box with a side of slaw and my friend got the taco box with the side of pickled veggies. She also got the corn chowder. She said the chowder was really good I definitely thought that it was really small for 7 dollars. I was really happy with my fried batter fish taco but the Al pastor taco in my opinion could have had more meat I thought it’s was kinda pricy for what I received . I was kinda disappointed. I was also recommended the slaw as a side and idk why because it was so bland. Definitely missing something. My friends pickled veggies were good but we felt it shouldn’t be a side but a few just put on the taco. That’s just my opinion."

"I cannot recommend the strawberry margarita enough!! So many places use mixes or syrups, and Diego’s used simple ingredients to make such a clean, crisp drink. We were able to sit outside with our dog, and the staff was nice enough to bring out a little water dish for her. I had the 3 sisters taco - it was good but simple, so I used their kiwi jalapeño hot sauce to give it some flavor pop. My boyfriend really liked the cauliflower bites. Really nice local spot :)"
