Steve's Pizza & Deli

"After seeing soooo many great reviews recently on "Ulster Eateries" my wife & I decided to try it out. First the positive, their subs are ridiculously huge, filled Big-time with tons of meats/cheeses with a small amount of veggies, but was very good. Now the bad, we also each got a cheese slice of pizza, which was bland, with acidic sauce & cheap cheese, the only good thing was the crust was ok. So we went back 2/5/24 for lunch, this time our son accompanied us, & again after hearing/reading so much about their awesome Cheesesteak subs, we ordered 3 with American cheese is all my wife got, my son & I ordered them with sautéed onions. Well we've been to many Philladelphia restaurants & also several in the Hudson Valley region for Cheesesteaks, Steve's was one of the worst we agreed we've had! The meat had a nasty, unusual flavor, the cheese was tasteless & the sautéed onion was undercooked. So bottom line, unfortunately we will not be returning! P.S. A shame cuz Steve(Owner) is very friendly & accommodating!"

"Never had a bad experience with Steve’s. Always great customer service, kind, patient and on time… they’re just friendly, which unfortunately isn’t the norm in todays day and age… and of course great food, or I wouldn’t keep coming back."

"So I decided after seeing all the hype all over a couple different chat boards that I had to stop and see this place and try the food. Being a deli aficionado why not. Let me start off by saying if you’re going to order online use the Slice app the prices are half, that is not the restaurants fault. It’s just the way that these online delivery companies charge. So of course I decided to order the Italian mix sub. The sub itself is massive personally for me. I would’ve preferred to have Cappy Ham overall it was a good sub not a top sub I’ve ever had in the area, but still a good sub for the price. The bread is good. We also ordered a sampler platter of appetizers, the onion rings were my favorite. What are the member in the group ordered a chicken Parm sub which she is what I would consider the chicken parm sub expert, it was reported it was delicious. Overall, I would go here again and I would recommend stopping by just based on cost the amount of food you get for the amount of money you spend is good. Be careful when pulling in because the parking lot entrance comes up quick. The inside is decorated like a typical pizza place but it was clean."
