"UPDATE as of 10/4/23: Course is in spectacular condition. New green complex and green-side rough on 8 changes an already tempting dog leg right into a well-balanced challenge. New tee box on 1 lets you let it rip with confidence on your first swing of the day. Constant scenic and landscaping upgrades render it the gem of the county. Always a great round at Stone Dock. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Well-maintained and always improving. Seems to be something new every time I visit. Some of the views are quite spectacular, and a lot of the shots make you think more than your average public course. Someday I'll conquer the unusual 4th!"

"We went for a round of golf at Stone Dock Golf Course at 12 Stone Dock Rd, High Falls, NY. It was not our first time. We like going there because the 9 hole course is well kept and very entertaining and challenging for beginners and experienced golfers alike. After our round as an added treat, we had lunch at their attractive cafe. It is light and airy and the picture I posted of the course and their outdoor seating was taken from our window in the cafe. We ate there the last time we played and it was so good we had to return. As you can see from their menus I posted, they offer lunch, dinner and a Sunday Brunch that offers bar food and foodie food. This time we had bar food and we were not disappointed. The owners of the golf course and cafe, Jennifer and Francis O'Donnell, are very interested in their customers' thoughts of their golf course and cafe and sincerely want your time spent to be a pleasurable one."

"Jennifer and the entire enterprise and staff of stone dock is amazing, I grew up here and watched this place change hands numerous times. And the place has never looked better. The environment has changed but somehow still holds it's old historic charm. That I remember . I called the staff of stone dock and booked a party of 50 kind of last minute for a funeral. With a particularly difficult menu (I am a chef.) Everything was amazing! the chefs are well trained. and know how to please the sophisticated palettes 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Our bartenders and servers were very professional and also very well trained . As an added bonus the new owners are working diligently on repairing their course from years of neglect. And have planted over 300 native species of trees along the Rondout creek to ensure no further erosion occurs. And allowed us to dedicate a tree in honor of our parents . So to anyone looking for a catering event space or a family golfing outing look no further you found your place."

"This is not a “luxury” course - but worth checking out for locals! There are a few interesting holes and unique green shapes which made for a fun round. It seems as though there are some new owners that are putting a lot of work and passion into the course - this local business is worth supporting!"
