"One of the absolute best experiences that one could hope for, while dealing with a bankruptcy. I reached out on a Friday, had an appointment by Tuesday, sat down with Glenda, and the process was literally step-by-step from there. She made it super clear what her expectations of me were (a.k.a. "what homework I'd have to do"), while getting information to the firm, during the filing process). Glenda also went absolutely above and beyond, while communicating throughout the process. I'm talking dozens upon dozens of emails, and meet-ups in the office over the course of a couple months or so, as we collaborated before the filing date. I couldn't believe how easily and smoothly the process went, and how knowledgeable the team was. I would ask a question, and there would not only be an answer, but also advice accompanying it to address any relevant hypothetical scenarios. After the discharge, right out the gate, I was able to establish a credit repair credit card (that reports to all three bureaus). I was ready to get back on the horse, and manage it correctly this time around Thanks to the advisement from Glenda and the team, I knew how to use that card as a tool, rather than a convenience, to repair what I had done. So they not only had the filing process down to a science, but also advised me on how to properly use credit from now on, and even encouraged me to do so, responsibly, rather than establishing fear of credit for the rest of my life. It's been 6 months since the discharge, and I'm proud to say that my credit has been steadily climbing at a consistent, and very satisfactory rate. It's already back up in the 640s whereas before the bankruptcy, my score was (embarrassingly) in the low 400s. Thanks to their advisement, I suspect I'll be back in the "Good" range (670 - 739) by the end of the year, and I'm excited to see what 2020 brings, if I manage to hit that range by then. On top of all of that, out of curiosity, I talked to a lender within the past few weeks, to talk about when they feel I could apply for a loan for a house. I wasn't interested in an immediate loan, as I still have a few more years of obligations in other parts of my life. Hearing that bankruptcies stick around for 7 to 10 years, I was fearing that I wouldn't be allowed to buy a house until then. BUT, that aside, after reviewing my credit report, the lender told me that the way that things were filed were immaculate, and it wouldn't impact me as harshly as I expected. He was surprised, because apparently there are a lot of ways to screw up during the filing process, and it ends up leaving a client in hot water for a longer period of time. He runs into loan applicants who have to wait longer for a loan, simply because of how their bankruptcy firm handled their case. He said that the way that my case was handled will allow for the least amount of time possible to wait for a home loan. The only thing that kept me from applying for a loan RIGHT THEN AND THERE, were some regulated guidelines that keep a post-bankruptcy client from applying for a minimum of 2 years. So he told me "Go back to your attorney, thank them immensely, as it's rare to find people who do this great of a job, and then come back to us in January 2021." (my discharge was in January 2019, for reference.) So, to wrap all of that up, I've waited the past 6 months, before leaving a review, so that I could see how things panned out post-discharge. I wanted to give a proper review on not only the initial process (which was already a 100% 5-star), but the longer term effects of how they handled it (double 100% 5-star). I am beyond satisfied with how my case was handled. Rod, Glenda, and the rest of the team took my "big, bad, scary bankruptcy" and made it something realistically manageable and life-changing for the better. I can't thank them enough."
