King Tiger Tae Kwon Do of Harrisburg

"Update: Our son is still studying at King Tiger. He's moved up a class (Junior Tige,r to Senior Tiger) which is a little longer and moves a little more quickly. This class is harder, but students learn more. Our son struggles with self-imposed pressure and made himself unhappy for the first couple of classes. Master Knight noticed something was off for our son and asked me if he could do anything to help. The next class Master Knight and Master Foster did a beautiful job of "just happening to be" beside our son during the tougher parts (for him) of class and encouraging him and reassuring him. I've been involved with teaching and coaching for more than 30 years, and Master Knight is exceptionally good with kids. Last night, I even got an email from Master Knight asking how or son was doing and offering to provide some additional 1:1 help for him outside of the normal class schedule. There are many good Tae Kwon Do teachers in our area, but Master Knight really is among the very best. Our family is grateful to him and Master Foster for their dedication to helping their students. Master Knight and Instructor Foster are excellent with kids! Our 7-year-old son has really enjoyed learning from them. Master Knight has a gift for keeping the class engaged, even in the most challenging situations. Plus, they make trying out the art/sport easy and affordable. I've studied under 3 different martial arts masters, all of them excellent, and I couldn't be happier with Master Knight for our child!"

Master Knight and Instructor Foster have been great teachers - they are phenomenal with kids, balancing patience and making sure students are respectful and achieving their best. I actually decided to start joining my son in the mixed kids and adult class, and have had a blast. The class is great exercise, and I’ve discovered I could do much more than I ever thought I could.
