Duke Primary Care Heritage Pediatrics

"Customers can not connect on Saturdays morning through a phone call although they are open. How would I be able to connect with someone on a Saturday morning? I tried calling twice today but no answer after about a 20 min wait."

"Duped... at a new patient wellness visit I thought the Dr. cared about what was going on with my daughter when at the end she asked if there were any other questions or concerns and I answered the question. I let her know what the last doctor in another state was working on with her for her reflux. This one said for her to take a tums (which did not help at all). At that point it apparently was coded as a prescriptive visit on top of her wellness and I was only informed by a bill. The only reason it is rated a 2 stars and not a 1 at this point is because they removed the amount I would be responsible for after I asked to dispute it for a one time only. I have another daughter that was scheduled to go there too, but at this point I wouldn't dare go back in fear of being charged for saying something when asked a question. To be clear I was told the billing department does this when they read the doctors notes, so I don't necessarily know if the doctors know they are setting up their patients to be billed. After I went back on here to read some reviews I realize I wasn't the only one."

"Establishing care for my teen with this office has been nothing short of impeccable service and care. Suzanne, the front office receptionist was kind, informative and welcomed my teen & I to the the office several times, the triage nurse was thoughtful & welcoming as well. Dr. Broussard spent time getting to know my teen, addressed concerns, offered recommendations & we went downstairs for lab work and Natasha, the phlebotomist, was awesome as well as she was flawless in drawing labs from my daughter. Overall, it was a great experience with this office!"

"We have been with Duke Heritage Peds for over 4 years, since the birth of our first child. In that time, we've seen every doctor at this practice and they are all excellent - we have only had good experiences. Recently, we've been seeing Dr. Broussard since our primary ped is on maternity leave - we were just there today for my child's well visit. She is wonderful - knowledgeable, easy to talk to, responsive to my concerns, great with my child. Highly recommend her and the practice as a whole."

"If there is one thing I hate more than anything else is being told one thing and billed for another. I made an initial request for an annual/physical. The appointment was made as such and confirmed by administrative manager as we had couple of 'conversations' about this. But was told, even though that is what I asked for and that is what was requested, apparently doctor asking me my family history questions and requesting an additional test changed the appointment completely (in their minds) and the billing codes they used ended costing me $500. I understand that the additional test would have been extra BUT they would not split invoice the appointment. This is like going into a car dealership for a free oil change and they replace the wiper blades and charge you full price on EVERYTHING??? How is that fair? I didn't ask for additional test or questions from the doctor. And was never told this would change my appointment and it would cost me out of pocket (deductible) as my insurance provides free physical once a year (for me - primary care still gets paid). Anyhow - NOT GOING BACK!!!"
