"I am extremely disappointed with the service that I received from Susanna Elliott, trauma therapist. She was referred to me by a trauma support group for an evaluation that was required for my high-conflict divorce and custody battle. I spoke with her prior to my evaluation, and made it very clear that I was not looking for follow-up treatment, but just the evaluation and report. Susanna agreed to speak with me virtually, and after the completion of our first session, she reported that she needed two additional sessions to make a complete assessment. Following the third session, Susanna told me that she did not feel that she was qualified to perform the assessment. I contacted both her and her supervisor to request a refund for my out-of-pocket expenses, as she was unable to complete my request. She told me that she would not refund my money, as she felt that she had provided me adequate service. The 3 appointments and waiting for her response delayed my process by several months, wasted $450, as well as caused me additional undue stress. I was then forced to find a new therapist who could complete my original request. I have notified the Director of the support group of her poor service and unwillingness to provide me a refund. I am also a medical provider and I know that’ healthcare is a customer- service business. In my cash-pay practice, I would definitely comply with the request of a unsatisfied patient."
