"On 10/19 I made an appointment for 11/7 because this was the only time availability. On 10/24 I received a text message to confirm my appointment so I would retain the 11/7 date. Which I needed to see the doctor sooner because of the issues I was having with my left eye (blurry vision, constant feeling like some is in it) but this was the only time so I figured I could wait almost 3 weeks. On 10/31, Felicity calls me and leaves a voicemail saying that this office has a policy that they cannot see new patients at this timeframe (which this should have been said a week before). I called right back and naturally get their answering service (it must have been their scheduling department.) I spoke to her and she again explain that it was against some policy but would say what that even meant. So she then proceeds to tell me the next available date was 3 weeks out. Which at this point there was no way I could wait any longer because my eye keeps getting worse. I explain what was going on and she said I need to see the medical side and she would connect me. She called over and got no response. She then told me that she would email that department to call me back since she felt it was an emergency to see the doctor as soon as possible. Well here we are a week later and I’ve not heard from them at all. It’s pretty clear this company has no intention on helping new patients nor do they have any concerns with seeing someone with an emergency. So now I’m having to look for a new doctor and most like have to wait weeks just to see one. Hopefully, I don’t go blind in one eye in the meantime…. Edit: I responded to Jessica that left the comment on this review as requested. I have yet to hear back from her."

"Dr Heather Smith is an excellent eye doctor and I have been going to her for 8 years now. Dr Smith is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. She takes her time with you and doesn’t rush through the appointment. My daughter suggested I go and see her because I was having issues with my eyes and my glasses . ( Dr Smith is my daughter’s family eye doctor ). The 3 other doctors I saw before Dr Smith never got my prescription correct for glasses. ( I have severe astigmatism in both eyes). I followed her when the office moved from University area to Indian Trail NC . It may take me an extra 12 minutes of travel but she is so worth it. ."

"They were prompt, cordial and professional. Dr. Smith was just wonderful and knowledgeable. I was in a pinch for contacts and got me set up while I waited for my order to come in. Looking forward to next year’s appointment!"
