"If Women’s transitional healthcare was as helpful and compassionate as their google stock photos portray, I may have continued going here. The office staff could be friendly one moment and then rather callous the next. My therapy sessions were mainly uncomfortable and my therapist would often simply stare at me without offering any words of encouragement or insight. She seemed disinterested with an attitude of “yeah ok, I see this all the time”. I was also turned away with my mother’s forms to take on family medical leave from her work to be with me, given the severity of what I was going through that had seen me in the ER once a month for three previous months. I was told that I “seemed just fine” to be left alone at home all day, even though they knew what I had been through and had acknowledged how awful it was. How it was then for them to say that I was “just fine” is beyond me. One evaluation with another psychiatrist and they immediately knew it would be greatly beneficial to have a family member with me as I recovered and signed the forms without issue. Their hours are also wrong on google and on their own website. They scheduled me for a Monday appointment and when I went to map to their offices, maps told me they were closed. I had to call, was sent through to an operator, who was confused and said there were no closures but called Women’s transitional and left a message. A few minutes later, the secretary called me and said I did have an appointment today, ignoring my comment that their website AND google say they are closed Monday’s. This disorganization made me late for my appointment, and I was driving nearly an hour to get here under the impression that they were worth the trip. The premise behind a place like this with specific knowledge of women’s hormonal issues is a good idea. But the execution here is less than desirable, I do not recommend them."

"I have been seeing Dr. Suffren regularly since October of 2014. She got us through the most difficult part, thus far, of my life. I firmly believe that Dr. Suffren saved my and our baby's life. We were not thriving to say the least. I am beyond thankful for her practice and the focus she places on the mental health of women and especially the Mom's out there struggling with hormonal and chemical imbalances. Thanks to her, we are in a good place now. I recently went back to school and am persuing a degree and future career. Something I couldn't have even imagined when I first met her. Though stable now, I continue to see her for her down-to-earth practical wisdom. She helps me to keep things in perspective.
