She was beyond helpful and gave me several recommendations, as well as texting me a direct link to Needham's online store. These days it is very hard to come across a genuine person who takes the time to thoroughly help someone, so it is greatly appreciated. "I was referred to Needham Animal Hospital by a new friend when I moved to Wilmington a couple of months ago. They did not disappoint. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the receptionist and my vet tech was wonderful and positive. My pup, Beau, isn't the biggest fan of vets (he's actually quite the opposite), so I personally dread this visit as much as he does because he gets so nervous and anxious, and I know it's quite a job to handle him. The experience I had at Needham and with Dr. Stephanie Crow was the best experience I've ever had with a vet. My last vet visit was a very poor one (at another establishment before I moved), so I was extra nervous, especially establishing at a new location. Stephanie walked in with the biggest smile on her face (especially after I knew Beau was likely difficult) and just loved him so much. She sat right there on the floor beside Beau with me, answered all of my questions, explained every medication to me, and made me feel right at ease. My boyfriend and I both were VERY pleased all around. The pricing was also standard for an animal hospital (and was actually a LOT cheaper than what I was used to at an establishment in Cary, NC before I moved). I'm pleased here. All of this to say, I am SO happy I established here. I know that they will take care of Beau (and my nerves) on every visit. It means the WORLD as a pet parent knowing that you're taking them to a place who loves them as much as you do! Highly recommend!!"

"Dr. Thompson takes such good care of our boy Bo. At our first appointment, she was tasked with fixing many problems such as food and skin allergies to various lumps and bumps. Through careful screening and expert diagnosis, Dr. Thompson has transformed our boy Bo into a healthy, beautiful golden retrevier. "I love Needham, I am incredibly picky with which vet my dog goes to as she is a rescue and has bad anxiety especially at the vet and every appointment always takes a team to get through the appointment. I have had so many bad experiences with vets in the past treating her like an inconvenience and having no patience with her extra needs. Needham has always gone above and beyond to make my dog feel comfortable and have always had incredible amounts of patience with her at our visits. They are so receptive to her needs and are so incredibly helpful. Mayas vet Dr. Rowe is the most fantastic vet I have ever taken her to, he is patient and understanding and always makes her visits less stressful for her. I cannot be more grateful that this vet exists as well as the entire staff!"

"I have never had a specific doctor at a vet’s office that I felt especially drawn to, and I therefore would just always see whoever was available at whatever my chosen office was. After seeing Dr. Crow at Needham, though, this has changed! She was so fantastic with my dog who is very nervous around new people, especially in a context like the vet. She was so understanding and personable and really talked through things with me. She was also transparent with pricing and wanted to make sure we were working within a reasonable budget while also healing my pup. I have never had a vet be so respectful of my own finances, and I have never had such an overall positive vet experience. I felt like she truly cared about my dog and me! The difference in pricing between Needham and my previous vet (also in Wilmington) was also night and day; I couldn’t believe how affordable it was in comparison while also providing exponentially better service. I will be recommending Needham to everyone!"
