"The Patton family wants to thank Asbury Place for the exceptional care it has provided to James Patton in Assisted Living for the past 17 years; and for the 5 year Long Term Care for Joyce Patton prior to her death in 2011. They both received excellent care from the nurses and staff making them feel like they were at home. Jim is a stroke victim and paralyzed on the right side, has extreme aphasia, and can no longer read or write. The staff and nurses took extra care to assure they knew what he wanted or needed. Tomorrow, Dec. 1, Jim will be the last resident to vacate the original building."

"This place is a horrible example of a Healthcare facility. They treated my Dad like a piece of garbage. He was a feeder because of his Parkinsons disease, they would leave him in there with his tray of food within reach and when we would get there he would have it all over him from trying to feed himself. The room was always disgusting, had Ants, and he was never changed or turned. In the two months he was there he developed a bed sore on his bottom so bad the Hospice nurse said in 20 years she had never seen one like it. She actually took pictures and shared it with us and it was horrifying. We only experienced two good, carrying nurses the whole time there. The rest of them you would never see. I could go on and on, but all I will say that is if you love your family member, DO NOT put them here. I would gladly show anyone the pic of his wounds from lack of turning to prove my point. Please do not use this place...."
