"Paul Faulkner, owner of Faulkner's Driving School Celebrating 45 years in business Graduated from NCATSU Retired from Union County Schools I love teaching students driver education.Driving is simple but complex. There are 4 classifications of roads. A 2 lanes, 4 lanes, 6 lanes and 8 lanes roads. You will get a minimum of 32 intersections that a student must understand how to perform the 6 major driving skills: 1. U-turn 2. Lane change, 3 Protected or unprotected left turns, 4 Roundabouts, 5 Right turns. on a red light, and merging onto a major highway. Students must understand the Smith System of Driving, the IPDE Process and the 6 point checking plan. The majority of accidents involving new drivers occur at intersections. Critical thinking, vision and understanding the importance of creating space and time when driving."

"Mr. Faulkner was a great teacher, and instructor. I was a nervous wreck when I started wasn't sure if I was going to make it, or if the teacher would just tell me I failed and not even help me. But no worries cause he made me feel like I was the only one that mattered even though it was a group of us. He took his time with his lessons and instructions and made sure you understood it and felt comfortable. By him dong that I passed my tests. He clearly cares about his job and would ask us questions and use stories to make his points. Some may say he makes driving sound too scary but everything he says is true, driving is scary and dangerous and it should be taught that. Driving is a very big deal and understanding how important it is to know what you are doing is part of the responsibility of driving.
