"Great staff and company! We had friends in town for a long weekend, and the kids - ranging from 11 to 17 - all did surf lessons together. Sweetwater is very focused on safety and skill-building. The staff worked to each kid's ability/comfort and are just nice, capable people. If you can do it, I would recommend taking a 2-hour session the first day to learn/get used to the experience, and then 1 hour the next day to reinforce/practice. They water changes all the time, too, so having a couple sessions really helped us. Our kids were all catching waves and standing up (!) on the second day. It was a blast!"

I went on their surf retreat in Costa Rica this past January and it was one of the best trips I’ve taken! The waves were so fun, the people are rad, the location is bonkers.. 10/10 incredible!"
"Excellent experience for my timid and shy 8 year old! The instructors and team made him feel extremely comfortable and secure. He absolutely flourished and impressed me with his ability to glide in on the waves! I am so looking forward to next summer! This camp was affordable and surpassed my expectations! "All three of my girls (twins age 11 and big sis age 14) loved their experience surfing with The Sweetwater Surf School. This was their second summer to participate in the school and they were so excited to have some of their same instructors this summer. All of the instructors were amazing! Nothing but fun stories and a love of surfing each and every day after lessons! Can’t recommend Sweetwater enough! We will look forward to surfing with you all next summer :)"
"We had an amazing time. 2 50 year old gals, a 21, 11 and 9 year old. The group lesson was great! Justin, Tristan, and Austin were so patient and fun. We laughed and enjoyed our time. We will definately be going back! One of our best family memories ever!!"
