"Went to emergency room 2 weeks ago by ambulance because of passing out and hitting my head on concrete floor. Ambulance people were great! ER not do. They didn’t clean my wound good. I believe I should have had a stitch or staple but in to stop bleeding. Never mentioned a Concussion which I’m sure I had."

"My husband was a sixty year-old bypass surgery patient. However many thought he was was forty. This was a shock to my family because he was fairly healthy. Dr Anderson and his team was absolutely amazing. Not only was Rex hospital's surgeons and nurses amazing, but even the employees, matinance and custodians would stop and ask if we needed help. Everyone was concerned about our well-being. This is how ALL HOSPITALS should model themselves for the well being of patients and families. Not one time did the hospital burden us with " How are you going to pay for this"? This is important but not the most important. And UNC REX knows this. Thank you for caring first. We will do everything in our power to pay you what we owe because we owe it and more importantly you cared. There is no price for life. Praise God! "If I can rate this place a 0 out of 5 I would give it a -10. Upon arriving this place wreaks of urine throughout the facility. I also was able to witness the front desk receptionist leaving her computer open with her epic pulled up with patient information available. I was lead to the back triage area where non respiratory issue patients are seated. My first impression was nurses and doctors gathered talking about a patient who was upset about the services they were receiving, which I clearly understand now exactly why he was so irate. My second impression was the nasty chair I was seated in. This chair had vomit on the bottom of it and in between the creases. There is no way this is cleaned by the nurses that room the patients. I was then escorted back out into the waiting room with patients who were very sickly as an immune compromised patient I asked was there anywhere else I could be seated and was not accommodated in no form or shape. I personally hate I chose to come here instead of wakemed. Do NOT come here please go to the next option."

"I recently had some surgery at Rex,. The team was extraordinarily great! The Doctor was Dr. Chris Young. He communicated extremely well and did several followups. I had to spend the night in the short stay ward. The nurses and the support staff were extremely attentive and awesome. If you need to choose a hospital I highly recommend Rex."

"Love Rex. Just had our second baby here and both times we had good experiences. They tend to over communicate, in a helpful way, everything a new parent needs to know. The staff seems to be ready to help and typically on top of things. Waiting, triage, delivery and recovery rooms are all comfortable and adequate for what they are. The recovery rooms have been especially pleasant. Favorite part of this hospital is the generous courtyards which kept our older son sane while visiting."
