Wren and Willow Montessori

"BEST CHOICE IN DAYCARE Wren and Willow is AMAZING! All of the teachers are fantastic! If you want your children to spend their days in a home away from home, this is it! The teachers TRULY love each child they work with and get joy from the interactions. They are kind, compassionate, and fun people! Ms. Wendy and Ms. Stephanie are not just extraordinary teachers (both Montessori-trained/certified) but are two of the nicest, most wonderful people you will ever meet. I have seen Ms. Stephanie address concerns of our older daughter by kneeling down to eye level, making sure our daughter knew her concern was valid, and coming up with a solution together. Our older daughter was treated as a mature child, capable of communicating thoughts, ideas, and feelings. Our younger daughter left a stressful situation at her previous daycare and immediately became happier and more comfortable at Wren and Willow. Ms. Wendy helped care for our youngest daughter when she was a baby and knew exactly what her personality was like and what her needs were before she could even utter her first word. The newest addition to Wren and Willow, Ms. Megan, is also known to us. Ms. Megan met our youngest daughter when she was a toddler and was very particular about strangers. Ms. Megan gave her the space she needed and within a few days, Ms. Megan was her best friend (my daughter called her that). Every night my daughter requested bedtime stories of her and Ms. Megan going on adventures together. These women comprise a trifecta of fantastic teachers. At Wren and Willow, kids can be kids in a supported, educational environment. One day this summer, they finger-painted outside and let the kids lead the activity – leading to the painting of trees and other surfaces. They encourage curiosity too. One day, our five-year old daughter came home with a bag of water and little pieces of paper floating in it. Apparently, she had been curious about what happens when paper is in water for a long time so they designed an experiment to discover the answer. Wren and Willow also provides “works” that are at each child’s level so they can progress educationally and socially while also feeling comfortable in their surroundings. There are a variety of interesting activities to choose from as their building is full of educational tools. Plus, each week has new lessons and topics that are distributed via BrightWheel (a great website/app). Daily activities, photos, bathroom notes, and nap start/stop times are on BrightWheel as well. Our kids have never been bored and always look forward to going to school. It is not possible to love the teachers or a school more than we love Wren and Willow!"
