"I previously had a bad review for this school. When my kids transferred to a new school in a new state, we found out their new school wouldn't accept their credits. Their school said it was because Lab isn't accredited. After speaking to the Executive Director at Lab, she explained to me how Lab is a recognized NC public charter school and they are held to the same NC state standards. Although the school not being accredited was the reason they wouldn't accept their credits, Dr Moss continued to contact their new school and explained to them why their credits should transfer. After a lot of back and forth, their new school finally decided to honor their credits and now they are back on track to graduate with their class! This experience has shown me that Lab truly does care about their students. I really thought all hope was lost, but Dr Moss advocated for my child and it is really apricated. Looking back, before the transfer situation, my kids really thrived in the Lab environment and enjoyed their time there. just want to thank Lab again for making this right !"

"My child has been at Lab since kindergarten and is now in 2nd grade. I LOVE this school. You can feel all of the heart that the teachers and staff pour into the children and their vision of this school. They focus on the whole child and provide social emotional learning as well as academics. They have partial immersion in Chinese or Spanish. They focus on respect of all cultures. Yes, the very beginning of the year was frustrating. I'm sure especially so for any parents who were late to work. But it was growing pains with a brand new building. It runs pretty smoothly now, and they were able to resolve issues with the building."

"Terrible school, terrible staff, horrible curriculum, racist environment, please do not send your children here. They will mistreat your children, they do not have a cafeteria. The administration staff will ignore your concerns, they are better off in public school. Oh and also, they will close school due to “plumbing issues” please reconsider before enrolling your children. It’s not a good place and I will be taking legal action due to the way my son was treated."

"It was logistically difficult adjusting to the new space, but now that we’re over a month into school things are running a lot smoother. The new building is so much nicer than the old ones that we were in. My daughter really enjoys attending here, and I love the approach to education."

"i wish there was a 0 star rating! Teachers are bad students are TERRIBLE and food is DISGUSTING AND HORRENDOUS IM NOT EVEN LYING…the flex/recess area is very humid i couldn't breath. the plumbing is mid. the new location is very bad the traffic is very troubling. it takes a hour to a hour and a half to drop the kids off the buses are always late and theres no cafeteria in that big school! and last but not least CARPOOL my child said they made all the kids stand outside in cold rain on the second day of school for 20-30 minutes and they wouldn't let them go back inside!"
