"I've never been to a church service here but I was baptized here in September 1976 at age 11. I am so thankful that the congregation was very generous with their baptismal creek. I grew up in Madisonville and went to church in Vonore. It was really special to be baptized outdoors just like our savior, Jesus. Most people my age and younger were baptized in a baptistry. This is a beautiful place that God created. Poplar Bluff will always be special to me."
