"Today my spouse and I had one of the worst experiences ever . This was our first time ever visiting this location . We walked around the store for a few minutes so that we can find the right product that suits us . When it comes time for us to check out , we dealt with Tim ( assistant store manager ) . He proceeded to ask me for my drivers license, my spouse at the time was at the side of the counter reading a label . I gave him my credentials , he then proceeded to ask my wife for hers as well . My wife asked why? He said because we are a group and that everyone that comes in together has to be id as this is the policy . I sent my wife outside to grab her documents . Tim was very rude to us . We finally checked out. There were two other couples behind us . The check out process for them was much smoother . Neither couple was asked to present any type of id . Not the person buying the liquor or the person accompanying them . It was a smooth check out process for them . We were a lesbian couple , we felt discriminated against . For an assistant manager to act like this and treat people so unfairly it is a bad represented of the brand and it’s core values . If this is a policy , why bother to pick and choose who to ask for an id . It should be practice all across the board . I will be calling corporate tomorrow. Tim’s actions towards us was very intentionally. He knew exactly why he treated us the way he did . We stood there and watched his other encounters and it was nothing like ours ."
