Just would be nice if they actually cared just a little bit. :) meanwhile it’s 60 degrees in the house and I have a 1 year old and infant to think about."

"Moving in on June 10 to a home managed by Invitation Homes has been one of the worst renting experiences I have ever dealt with. There are a multitude of issues in my home varying from cleanliness to roaches, many maintenance issues, and a complete disregard from the leasing and maintenance teams. The only person who has extended any assistance to me was a woman named Julia in the Billing dept. I have been told I will be contacted by vendors and have not. I was told to be home today for a garage door opener replacement (because it did not work when I moved in) and now I am being told the quote was not approved so they are trying to find a cheaper rate. (In most cases this would be acceptable but given that it should have been working already, this process is ridiculous. The lack of communication is infuriating and I am at my wit's end. The things in my home that were not working include but are not limited to: 1. Garage Door not working at all - would not come up or down and caused havoc with my movers and the truck. 2. Bugs everywhere - there were worms in the toilet and roaches, ants, rollie pollies, spiders, etc. all dead throughout the upstairs and downstairs and I have found many live roaches since living here. None of the dead bugs were cleaned out before I moved in. 3. Very dirty everywhere - there was dirt and dust coming from every air vent - it looks like they were never cleaned. The worms in my toilet and hair in the shower was an indication they didn't clean before i moved in. (I was told by my leasing person the home would be cleaned thoroughly before I got keys since several people had toured it. 4. Fence Broken - the fence had a broken panel and the latch did not latch. I was told these would be fixed before I moved in and they were not so my dog escaped the backyard on my move-in day and ran into the street. 5. The SmartHome devices were not installed correctly so the thermostat didn't work when I moved in. 6. The kitchen sink faucet completely leaked when you turned it on. It wasn't fixed until 1 week AFTER moving in. 7. The kitchen drawers were not attached to the track to they just fell any time you tried to use them - again not fixed for 1 full week after moving in. 8. The yard was overgrown when I got possession and since it's up to me to maintain, I expected it to be mowed before I was responsible. 9. Various rot on the baseboards, etc. and the holes, paint splotches, broken light fixtures, etc. are all minor concerns but no one in maintenance noted them so I am not responsible for them when I move out. This entire process has been a painful one. Watch out who you rent from - even "reputable companies" are mistreating renters by delivering homes in a disgusting condition."
