"All it takes is one bad first impression to not want to come back. My husband and I tried to donate some items and the gentleman helping unload was borderline disrespectful to our donations and to my husband. We don't donate broken, dirty or smelly items and I've never dealt with such a high maintenance goodwill before. One of the items was a 8x5 rug we never used but was given to me after a friend moved. It was underhanded commented the rug was dirty and had pet hair. (Note: We dont even own a pet, the rug was beige and rolled up in a corner for 6 months). When I went inside to ask for the manager, to my surprise, the gentleman helping ended up being the store manager. When I confronted him, there was no attempt for a resolve, he fortified his position, got a 1/2 baked apology...I took my items to the Goodwill in Monroe and there were no questions, just "thank you". I won't donate here again."
"Love the store, and employees...but the lady with the accent that acted like the manager (on 1/2/2023 @8:30 pm) had a terrible attitude. I've never had anyone just grab my items and wad them up like she did. And as I was trying to hold my items to put in my reusable bag, she would move things that I was in the middle of folding. Super great store! But I guess I am glad that I don't live in that area, I won't have to deal with such a terrible attitude often. There were two other employees coming contact with that you're so friendly smiling. The store is pretty clean. Also, I was charged a dress price for a shirt but you can't argue because they don't think the customer is ever right"
