"On day of appointment (about 5 hours before) they texted to offer me an earlier appointment because they had an earlier opening. I declined the earlier appointment because we were not going to be there until right before my original appointment. Then about 1.5 hours before my original appointment they completely cancelled because “tech was unwell”. Seems like a very convenient coincident for them and the changes they wanted to make. The spa front desk attendant barely apologized and offered an appointment for the following afternoon which I was unable to accept because we are leaving that day. I have had good massages here before but this was very poorly handled by all involved."

"We've been coming to Cherokee for years, but December 2023 was my first spa visit. I can't believe I've been missing out all these years. If you read some of the reviews here you'd think this place was awful. It is spectacular. Extremely clean, well staffed, and so relaxing! I had a facial with Nora and it was the best facial I've EVER had. Absolutely wonderful. I'll never miss a chance to come back to the spa again."

"My most recent trip will unfortunately be my last. I have been coming to get manicures and pedicures for years and for the last year I have been disappointed, but my last trip was the last straw. The red haired girl in the salon is nice enough but very unprofessional. I don’t care what you’re political views are, I don’t need to hear them while you’re doing my nails. The last two times I was hear she was complaining about black people coming in to get there hair done and complaining about Asians coming in to get their nails done. So unless you’re a white woman, I would avoid getting anything from here. I complained one time to the girl doing my nails about the paint and she was willing to fix it, but then the red haired woman came over and started fussing about me wanting my nail fixed, saying that they “only want to do hair and that this place forces them to do nails, so sometimes it doesn’t look right” and wouldn’t let her fix my nail. Maybe she needs to go work somewhere that only does hair then if she is not capable of doing a good job at nails. All the front desk people are always nice and so are the people downstairs, but I don’t like massages and I would rather waste my 250 voucher than go get a mani pedi and have to listen to politics and intolerance!"

"The first time visiting the spa we had a HORRIBLE experience. We booked the couples 90 minute massage for my birthday present. The gal giving me my massage was sick. She left the room MULTIPLE Times and all together I ended up with less than 30 minutes and both my husband and I became very ill in less than 24 hours after the massage. My husband said let's try this again. I was very reluctant and didn't want to be disappointed on this birthday. We had a WONDERFUL RELAXING TIME. The experience was terrific. I'm so glad my husband talked me into going again and giving the spa another try. Thanks for a great birthday this year!!!"

"I love this place! Every time I go to Cherokee I make a day of the Mandara Spa. I always ask for John for a facial and I have never had a bad massage from any staff member. The sauna, pool, heated relaxing chairs and the private balcony are a great way to continue the relaxing after your services."
