Bladen Serenity Nails and Spa

"Since my original review was deleted, I'm reposting. I just want to make sure anyone who tries this place gets all the reviews and not just the good ones. The saying "You can't judge a book by it's cover" is not always true, but in this case, I believe it is. I recently moved to the area and had heard good things about this "salon" and decided to give it a try since I was over due for a manicure. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied at all with the service I received. My fiancée called and made my appointment and the attitude she received when speaking with them should have been my first sign to run far away, but I gave them the benefit of my doubt. First red flag, it looks very run down on the outside and when walking into the establishment, inside, it is very cluttered and is not a clean space at all. Second red flag, once my nails began soaking to get the previous gel removed, the nail tech decided to go smoke a cigarette and did not wash her hands when returning. Third red flag, I was never asked what shape I wanted my nails to be nor the thickness of the design. I was told "I don't do thin french tips, if anyone wants that, go somewhere else." Fourth red flag, instead of making sure my nails were completely dry before adding the top coat, everything smeared and instead of looking at it and saying "Oh no, I apologize, Let me fix that for you," She looked at it and said "Oh it's these new dryers, I have to get used to them." Fifth red flag, my nails did not turn out smooth although I did not notice until I returned home after my service because I was flabbergasted with the whole ordeal. My nails began chipping the very next day when usually I can go three to four weeks before I even see any lift from the gel polish. I type for a living so I understand there may be some wear at the edge of my nails, but the wear I started noticing not even a week after I received services at this salon is ridiculous. Please see the attached photos of the wear after one week. I wish I would have gotten photos right when I left this establishment but I was shocked beyond belief honestly. To each his own, but personally I will not be returning."
